"Understand your brain, improve your relationships." That's what Stan Tatkin has learned from his leading-edge work as a researcher and couples therapist. In this complete audio learning program, he merges current insights from neurobiology and attachment theory to help us shift out of conflict and into deeper and more loving connections. Listeners first learn to identify attachment styles - the patterns of intimacy that begin in our earliest years - both in ourselves and in those around us. Then Tatkin guides us through his proven principles and pratices for biliding enduring security and commitment between couples, family members, and othes that we love.

My God, what a great book on healthy relationships! I shipped out a bunch of copies to friends, some struggling, some thriving. Also, I heard this book on the heels of two other great Neuro-Pseudo books on relationships Dan Siegals We and Hansons On Love. And I gotta say, as much as I loved those, this one is a great capper to the three!!
I am a very strong and passionate Substance Abuse Counselor, Yoga Therapist and a man that loves relationships (going for my MFT). And this book lays down the creative grounds for healthy relationships, the tools to make it thrive together and the empirical data, experiential intelligence and just sheer hindsight to being in a thriving and nourishing relationship.
Bad news for those who are really selfish, this will sound like a crunchy and stale alphabet soup cause ur brain doesn't want to work for healthy dynamics. But good news for u and everyone else, get in some practice and partnerships can get great.
Hope u enjoyed this as much as me-

This is so easy to listen to as well. Stan sounds like he’s having a conversation with you, almost podcast-like.
I’m going to recommend this to every couple I know, whether their relationship is solid, rocky, or in between.
A must-listen for every couple

If you could sum up Your Brain on Love in three words, what would they be?
Good, practical advice! What was one of the most memorable moments of Your Brain on Love?
A number of times I almost expected a light bulb to appear above my head; because I was confronted with one "A-ha!" moment after another as he explained the material. He uses years of relationship counselling experience to give good, solid advice. He explains complex, scientific brain neuroscience in simple terms with enough information to really help the reader grasp the concept. Then he helps you understand that none of the personality types are "wrong" or "right" and how you can best relate to any of them. I love the simplicity with which he explains these concepts and the practical advice he gives for each.

This should be a compulsory book for every person to read. He presents it so well, without judgement and gives such brilliant advice. His ultimate goal is to help people build solid, secure relationships and I believe that he gives the reader sufficient tools to accomplish that.By far one of the best relationship books ever!
