This book is very informative with an entertaining character making it easy to listen too. This is more straight forward of an approach to CBT-I then the ‘text book’ which is much more expensive and data intensive. This book had just enough to help me to be more knowledgable as a practitioner with practical examples and ways to go about helping others as I do not personally struggle with Insomnia.

The author’s story is that he overcame insomnia and you can too by changing your behaviors and attitudes toward sleep. He has helped me tremendously. I had read most of another CBTI book called “Hello Sleep”, but I was turned off by that author’s insertion of woke politics into the topic. I then turned to Pannell’s book and got the information and help I needed.

There is a lot of information to unpack in this book about insomnia. I''m going to have to listen to this a couple of times to really internalize these things and make them a habit.

While I haven’t yet implemented the steps, I already have less anxiety about sleep. The approach is so simple and takes turns everything you know about sleep on its head. Told as a personal story, it made me feel like finally someone understands what I’ve been going through! Not just “take a hot bath and drink a chamomile tea and blah blah blah”. The writing is clear, punchy and funny. The narration is absolutely perfect. Great work! Looking forward to putting it all into practice

Enjoyable to listen to, easy to implement, practical and effective. I had previously read two other sleep books that were interesting but not particularly helpful. Halfway through this book, I was already much more satisfied with my sleep quality and duration, and feeling energized throughout the day as well. Highly recommend!
