However, I had a really hard time listening to this narrator when Ricky himself is dynamic and speaks well. I would have preferred this in his own voice. Also, the narrator sounded older, and I felt like I was being lectured by a well-meaning Grandpa. (And I’m in my 50’s so it’s not age discrimination). Ricky is a 36 year old vibrant young man. It just wasn’t a logical choice and made for a difficult brain transition. But that’s just me.
Here’s where I get confused and taken aback by the info in this book: in one section early on he says you have to put in 15 hour days every day to achieve this success. Then toward the end he says he shuts down the office at 5PM every day. We all know by now that work life balance is crucial and he addressed that... while still saying “be the first at the office and the last to leave.” So it has its contradictory messages. Bottom line is, if you follow his program you will be successful. But you have to make your business work with your life, so the 15 hour workday is not for my family. I’ll still use his methods and coaching, just not in its extreme version.
Good information, wrong narrator
