Since birth, Lexie Berry has had nothing but bad luck. Orphaned at an early age, she had a rough childhood and a boyfriend who was murdered. Now the beautiful, stylish Lexie is determined to change her luck and her life. But first she's got to make good on a promise: To pick up Ty Walker from prison. One look at the gorgeous ex-convict and Lexie knows she's in trouble—and already thinking about taking a walk on the wild side.

For five years, Ty was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. Now he wants revenge on the people who framed him. Hooked on the Colorado Mountain Men

I got hooked on Kristin Ashley with the Rock Chick series, and the Colorado Mountain Men are just as addictive. Initially, I didn’t think Lady Luck could suck me in like the two previous books in the series, I was so wrong!
Lexie and Ty Qi key became two of my favorites. While the formula is pretty cut and dry, the characters are what make these books, and I love these two! Lexie’s enthusiasm is infectious, as is her lov for Ty.

Entertaining Author

Would you listen to Lady Luck again? Why?

Perhaps, generally only listen or read a book once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lady Luck?

Did tear up fairly often

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The Pena characters accent was not believable and somewhat offensive. Most US born with Mexican descent do non have such thick accents, especially those who are in professional occupations. Many Mexican Americans in Texas have no accent at all, not even Texas accents, especially in large cities such as Dallas.

Graphic

Any additional comments?

Like all of the books I've read by this author, this has graphic language and sex scenes, but this one seems to be a lot more so. I don't read erotica, mostly because I prefer more romance than sex, but I have difficulty imagining that the genre is much more graphic than this. For me, the profanity and crude references to body parts and sexual acts detracted from my enjoyment of the story. The narration, as always, was excellent.

Get Lucky and Listen to this

This is one of my favorite of the Colorado Mountain series and I can't really explain why. The narration is very good (not great but credible), the story follows KA stories to a T, there is a bit too much extraneous material (which is also her penchant) and I was not THAT fond of Lexie but didn't hate her either. I guess the draw is Ty, his struggles and his determination to be true to himself. I have to REALLY like a book that goes this long in order to finish it MUCH LESS listen to it twice. And I've listened to this book at least twice and will again. Even knowing all the story, it's still a lovely and strong book.
