About this listen

Logging into The World, Startum Ironwolf and his friends barely flee Palnisdale ahead of the Northern Invaders. Their only chance to survive is to somehow stay ahead of the orcish horde long enough to reach the ships waiting for them in Darom. An all but impossible task with the port city being nearly a two-day run away. Somehow, Startum must come up with a way to do the impossible or lose everything.

Enjoying it so far

Only issue is the narrator. Jason seems to speak a little too low at times. Otherwise, and excellent continuation of the journey, though it seems fly by too quickly.....

This is by far one of my favorite book series. I cannot wait for the next book. The narration is on point the story is amazing. I love to see the growth and development of the characters I can’t wait I can’t wait I can’t wait. I was finally able to convince my wife to also start reading / listening to the books.

one complaint

the only complaint I have is I want more. it would be nice to dump stardom's ex out of the story. realistically by now she would have too much evidence against her for her to accomplish anything outright with a player base

I like the series so far

But I got a few gripes but there not huge and fixed easily. It’s the constant switching of perspectives between the characters. The fewer in that situation the better (IMO) mikes make since and so does the port city that star is trying to get to. But the others like pvp players not needed. Other then that this book did wonders to continue the story looking forward to the next one I’m happy you are back on your feet and writing again stay healthy Cheek

Great Book

I highly recommend this and the entire series. In this book you meet new characters and Foe’s. The story keeps you wanting more and hate grows for certain characters. It’s an easy listen, full of twists and turns. If your a gamer or a Nerd at heart you’ll enjoy these books I wish book 9 & 10 were available because I would start them today because I enjoy the story line that much!

Another good story but...

Loved the story but too much going on. I think at this point with the multiple story lines that don't directly impact one another should be broken out to their own books to help with flow. Alot of jumping around to get the big picture instead of letting the focused one develop.

This was Jason Hill's worst performance of the series. He changed many of the characters voices giving a jarring performance.

All that said looking forward to the next in the series.
