About this listen

I should not exist. All children like me are stillborn, or die in infancy. Those who cannot grow stronger, die.

No empty child has ever reached a year of age, yet I am now 13. It has been a long and miserable 13 years, where the best I can manage to do is walk with difficulty. Sometimes, I cannot even manage that.

My clan has paid dearly for every minute of my life, and money is not so easy to obtain here at the edge of civilization. Perhaps I might have lived in this state for many years; a cripple, strong in mind but feeble in body. But when some unexpected guests come to our estate, everything changes. I will die at last – or learn to survive on my own.

It start with the MC in a new body as a kid. Literally, a kid. He's between 10-13. I forgot now lol. Anyway, this book is about his Come-Up. Where he is. His "family" story. What's up with him. Where he ends up, how he survives there and this new system he just became a part of. I have about 3 hrs left at this point and that's all I've learned. I don't mind the book cause I like different types of "slice of life" books, while getting things done or being lazy. This book has no crunch, major stats, level up sounds. It's real simple while he lives a very complicated life, in a very scary area, while being a "smart kid" and working with what he got. Update: I'm at 47 minutes and my opinion is still the same.

The whole book is slow, it's a busy work book

I like the story plot, however , the book reads like a second book . I kept wondering how did the MC end up on another planet , universe.. ?? the MC keep making refrances to earth and so forth but explanations never came. Then there the whole game system that 😒 I wasn't feeling it. I would still like to find out how the story ends or if it ever explain how The MC ended up on 🪨

could of been better

Not a bad book. It's a bit slow and you could probably cut 3 or 4 hour out of the book if you removed the introspection.

meh. Similar to underdog just not as dark or good.

The story line is very sold. The reviews regarding the lag in the main story development are very accurate. If you can suffer through the rough beginning you will have a gem on your hands.

Good But

It’s like things have to be hammered home every chapter. 30% of the story is repetitive. Like a web novel where you expect that your readers forgot what you wrote the last time you had a chapter. However this is a book in your readers aren’t morons they the ability to remember.

The voice for the ghoul it’s overly annoying, and very hard on the ears. Somethings should’ve been said to the narrator in editing

Progresses like a web novel

I HATE THE GHOUL OMG the ghoul in this story is so annoying always asking questions saying things repeatedly always scared has an annoying voice. also this book has no action for the whole book except for the 3 last hours, this is also one of those books where he explains every single day so only like 1 month passes. the second book will be 100 times better this one was good not great but good1.

pretty good

This series looks to be a lot like the Underdog series but with being reincarnated from earth thrown in as well. It makes for a fun and exciting story and I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!

Great start to a series!

backstory should have been 3 small paragraphs as I gave up on this book in 4rth chapter when it finally got to some movment chapter 5 on it was the type of story expected from 'Arthur Stone'

3 long chapters of back story

First few hours of the book really drag on, and even when the book gets going, the author spends a lot of time repeating themselves about things they have said a half dozen times.
That being said the premise is solid, and the actual story is pretty good once it gets going.

Very slow start

I really enjoyed the storytelling I had to move the speed up to almost double but other than that it was good
