About this listen

Welcome to the challenge. You're an absolute nobody here—nothing, a zero, a useless lump of meat filled with bones. You're but a delicious morsel for your antagonists and those who got lucky at the start. The only goal you can have in your miserable existence is to kick the bucket as soon as possible.

Grab this when I needed something to listen to because it was an anthology. Was very impressed with the story, it drags sometimes but overall great listen.

Great set of books.

This is one of those surprising series that caught me unaware. I had not heard of this series and just decided to give it a try on speculation and am I happy I did! Fantastically original story telling

Fantastic series

I really liked this story! Nice, slow & steady character & world development. Hopefully the series will progress soon.

Can't wait for the next in the series!

Both the The vocabulary and the voice actor are just a bit awkward and the writing is a bit wordy, and the jokes fall flat. I keep picturing Napolean Dynamite as the main character with some of the way he describes things... but Napolean was funnier. It does have an interesting idea, but the execution didn't do it for me. Could use stronger editing.

voice actor repetitive phrasing and pauses

so lost, like it's taking me almost 20 chapters to get a vague idea how or what's happening in the story.

what is happening

I don’t know if the writer has a higher than deserved opinion of himself or if the way the narrator reads makes it sound like that but there are several words that are used because “large words sound more intelligent” despite being used out of context and against their definitions. The descriptions of everything are beyond excessive and information is repeated to an insulting degree. You can skip 3/4 of every chapter and not miss anything.

I think there might be something off about the shop

engaging and interesting, only real beef I have is the translator does not use many contractions in dialog. "Do you know what I am saying?" it makes the dialog come across robotic and clunky at time.

fresh take on Isekai

I've heard better but I've also heard way worse. Interesting story concept. It's new to me at least.
I want to caution the author on how he wrote Bakteer and Sinner's interactions with him. There were some racist undertones there, and I don't think he realizes it. Or maybe he did and didn't care.

Pretty good LitRPG

Wasn’t sure what I was getting into but I quickly was intrigued by the story and the world the author was creating. Unfortunately the writing is robotic and I’m well into book 2 and wondering if this was partially written with AI. That’s how robotic it is. I’m surprised the narrator was able to keep up with this because of how robotic the text is. All that to say I’m still very much enjoying the listen.

Edit: Found out that the author is Ukrainian and it makes more sense that this is translated material rather than AI generated. Probably AI translated.

Great Listen, Intriguing Idea, Worth it.
