Calming and informative

I really enjoyed this audiobook since I was trying to teach my son about handling anxiety while in high school! He said it helped a lot and he was able to use proper techniques from the book when he gets overwhelmed.

Hit home!

My daughter suffers, and this book helped me understand what is going on in her mind and tactic we can use to help her through anxious times. The habit-changing techniques are easy to implement, and you will see the difference right away. I also thought the narrator has an excellent voice for the material, a joy to listen to.

We’ll-written and easy to follow

We live in a world full of Anxiety.This book helps

This book is great! I raised 6 daughters and 1 son. This would have been amazing for them to listen to in their teens.
I loved the breathing exercises and easy-to-follow tasks found in this book to become aware of and reduce anxiety symptoms. The easy-to-follow exercises help you become more confident and gain better self-esteem by teaching you to love yourself, look people in the eye, get out of your comfort zone, and change your thoughts. I highly recommend this book.

Passionate , informative & helpful

Today, the problems caused by social anxiety cannot be overlook, This book places the stop light on this rising problem and the additional pressure that all, but especially teens, encounter with the raise of social media and the disproportionate role it plays upon one’s psychic. Dr Walsh is someone who has suffering and overcome self-image problems. This is well written, easy to relate to, and touches you on a personal level. This book is not something to be read and put aside. Rather, it is something to work with , do the exercises and actively seek to change those harmful beliefs that lie at the root of your anxieties. It begins with how the mind works. It explains that our subconscious or “monkey” mind is actually running the show. Yet, we can consciously choose to reeducate it.
Being a practical book, it provides the tool to do that reprogramming. The exercises for change begin in Chapter #1 and continue throughout the book. Although the focus is on teen-agers, all can find this book a useful tool against the need to be to accepted and “fit in.”In chapter #2, the author points out a counter-intuitive phenomenon that deep down we actually believe our limiting beliefs hold some hidden benefit that we want. Anxiety allow us to play 3 different roles, protector, punisher and prioritizer. Throughout the book, you are given the tools for self-diagnosis and partial treatments to baby steps your way to self-improvement.
In the final chapter, Dr. Walsh provides an overview of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) for those who need additional help or just prefer to fast track their way to recovery.

The best book on overcoming anxiety I’ve ever heard!

Reading this book and listening to it for Dr. Walsh and I must say it is extremely heart felt. It’s not just for teens it’s for everyone battling with anxiety.
📖 Practical, Comprehensive and so Down-to-Earth. Walsh used a language that teens can relate to and vibe with. Not lectured.
🌻She gives unique exercises I’ve never heard of that I definitely book marked and will be implementing into my life.
🌞She breaks down anxiety in all it’s forms and types and how to overcome it and even dives into where it possibly came from.
like I said everyone needs this book.

The narrator has such a soothing voice which really brings this book to life. Highly recommend!
