good resource book

I've become a big fan of this guy. Very detailed but keeps it simple. Lots of barebones techniques combined new creative twists and ways to transform your body no matter the goal. Although I implement machines at the gym, he teaches you how to make big changes with just barbells and dumbells. I definitely tailor my workouts to info I've learned from this book. It's great to have a good resource book like this to keep trying new things and stay motivated.

motivational guide

This book was motivational, which is not meant to be a negative critique, but I was expecting something more technical than a lifestyle guide. In my opinion it was largely centered around body dysmorphia and how to overcome it in a constructive fashion, which is definitely a unique standpoint from other fitness books I have

Adequate

Adequate. Some interesting information, but nothing new. Some of the workout ideas might be worth a try. If for no other reason than to mix things up a bit.

recommended

A friend bought this book so we could have a workout to do together. Our goal was to put on a lot of muscle. It worked! For those who know how to work out, but have maybe lost direction, this book gives you a selection of great programs to choose from. The author clearly knows what he is talking about. The book is well explained and easy . This is not just a workout program. It also includes diet, warm ups, and a ton of knowledge about the human body. I would recommend this book for everyone

get this book

I would absolutely recommend this book to those new to exercise, or even those who have been floating in and out of gyms their whole lives. I would not recommend contacting the author or challenging her views directly, unless you're prepared for an intellectual battle!

awesome book

This book delivers fairly well in that regard, additionally I enjoyed listening the author's personal history and client histories. This book really encourages moderation and takes an approach backed by science, which I really appreciate. If you are new to weight lifting and/or have weight struggles I think you may find this book even more useful than I did. At any rate I'm looking forward to designing my own program with more confidence!
