About this listen

War is coming.

DCO’s latest patch has finally made it possible for dungeons to interact with one another. This can mean only one thing: It is time for some player vs player action. More importantly, it means James and Blank will finally be able to settle their score on the Fields of Battle. Only, there’s a lot more riding on this than pride - if James loses, he will be forced to leave DCO for good.

With everything on the line James and Rue must prepare for the onslaught and grow their dungeon as fast as possible. Which may mean doing things James isn’t proud of, things that involve a lot of dickens....

Blank may be formidable, but the Random dungeon still has a few tricks up its sleeve. James has unlocked an entire new floor, and with it, the most powerful and terrifying Random mobs yet.

Well...hopefully; it is Random after all.

But seriously - how bad could it be?

This is the revised, edited, and novelized retelling of the popular Royal Road web serial Dungeon Core Online by Glyax.

Loved it!

Great story, great reader, loved every minute of it! Highly recommend it. Definitely worthy of anyone that enjoys good humor and Sci Fy that doesn't take itself to serious.

Large scale PVP

Book 2 picks up right were book 1 left off, with PvP about to be introduced and James scrambling to prepare. The dungeon war takes up the entirety of this installment, which is exhausting as someone who hates PvP. Some of the players on the enemy side seem fun but others are the typical PvP meanypants types. The real world bullying is resolved but the virtual world bullying gets more unhinged.

We meet more players on both sides of the conflict as James observes their experiences during the war. A lot of different gamer types and personalities are represented, plus we get to see more character build options. By the time the epic battles start, there is a rich cast for which to root.

Not my Gum drop buttons!

I loved this series. It's like Ready Player 1 but instead of just pop culture references, it's full of LitRPG references as well. First book in a while to make me actually chuckle out loud. Honestly, it's just a lot of fun. Also, Travis is spot on with his Gingerbread Man voice.

Great sequel, little drawn out

Great sequel to the prior, and well done. The middle to end seemed to drag on for faaaaar too long. End was rushed to finish up and could have been spread out Much better. On to the third!

Hate the Mc

The Mc is always saying that he’s some type of top tier gamer on par with the top players but always freezes up when stressful situations occur. Always letting his emotions cloud his judgement and making rookie mistakes. Annoying af to listen to him whine all the time

Dinosaur aides and chickens and chickens from hell

We get to see the full array of what all the animals can do as well as the tactics and everything gets wrapped up though I hope not to wrapped up that they can't do another one

MORE CORE!!!!

Their definitely needs to be a book 3. My only request is PLEASE don’t **** up what has been a really good spin on the standard dungeon core book. By adding in mushy romance/relationships BS. I’m mean seriously please don’t do it.
