A MUST Read!

I absolutely loved the book and the wealth of realism and knowledge shared! The examples shared reside with so many; this book, I believe, can help kickstart or continue the necessary healing for those who have experienced the trauma within the workplace walls.
Well done!

I would give this a 3.9

Starts off as a book of examples of other black peoples who have “made it” though that’s comforting it’s not something we as black women don’t already know. Sone guidance here and there but I was expecting a bit more

I’m not yelling!

This book on self-reflection is fantastic! I loved the affirmations and thoughtful reflection questions. It provided a sense of connection, particularly in navigating workplace challenges, where the stress for black women can be overwhelming.

Powerful

I learned a lot from reading this book and have many new perspectives of the challenges that black woman faces. I consider myself a little less “blissfully ignorant” and hope to become a better human being with the knowledge I have gained from listening to this book.

Excellent book

I wasn’t expecting this book to be so good and keep my attention. If I would have listened to it in the house I would have been done in one day. I started it on Friday and finished it on Sunday during my car rides. So good a must read for all women of color.

Essential Reading All Professionals

Thoughtful. Comprehensive. Honest. This was an exceptional work that forced me to think critically while giving myself grace to navigate unlearning and relearning all through out the book.
