About this listen

Ryan has died, been reborn as a dungeon core, defeated a necromancer, and made a number of friends along the way. Life, well un-life, is good.

However, everything changed when the demons attacked. With his dungeon town in danger and cultists scheming in the shadows, Ryan must decide whether to draw upon the darker side of his own nature - unlocking powers far greater than anything he has accessed before.

Something his new dungeon fairy seems suspiciously excited about. With his favorite adventurer, Blake, slowly accepting his new powers as a Specter of Balance, Ryan learns being a darkness dungeon means a lot more than just bones, zombies, and skeletal fight club. Apparently, the power granted by God of Death encompasses much, much more.

Unfortunately, Ryan learns the hard way that some things should remain dead....

Good but...

I know the MC is a moron, but to be THIS stupid?? Pretty stupid to just believe a clearly EVIL character that tried to kill your fairy friend is not evil JUST because she says she isn't.

I enjoyed the book overall but the whole hell fairy just put a bad taste in my mouth for most of the book which kinda dampened my experience but I loved everything else

good story, bad audio

good world building that was well displayed, interesting premise and good execution.wonderful twists and turns to the story. interesting mechanics and magic system. good dialogue. characters were well fleshed out. good story pace, rising action/climax and resolution. I thoroughly enjoyed the story itself.
I did not enjoy the audio. so many sound effects or effects such as reverberation or octave shifting that made it hard to focus on the story. none of the narrators had any vocal range so most of the characters ended up sounding the same.

Better

This is a big improvement after the first book. I wrote about hating the fairy in the last book, and she’s definitely balanced out in this one. It’s a solid dungeon core series so far and if you like that kind of book and you managed to get past the fairy in book 1, then this is easily worth the credit. Hoping the 3rd continues the trend.

Fantastic!

Great story and narration!

Ryan the dungeon core is back, and ready for more skeletal fight club! but demons are starting to show up, and necromancers and chaos cultists have been stirring up trouble. The life of a dungeon is about to get complicated.

Soundbooth Theater did a wonderful job with the narration, and really brings the story to life!

I really enjoyed this audiobook, and can't wait to find out what happens next!

the dungeon is evloving!

Just like the first book, the pace is great of both the story development and new character growth.

No things are left untouch and the listener slowly gets to get to know more about the world.

The narrators do a wonderfull job and enhance the experience and bring the character to live.

if you like the first book, I would strongly recommend to give this one a try.

keeps getting better

Ryan the core now gets a new fairy that could be good or bad an continues to expand his dungeon with more interesting mobs to challenge the adventures that dive into his dungeon an he still enjoys his favorite divers an still has Skelton fight club going an enjoys it with his fairy. gets more in depth with blake an his family i say that since in the diver groups think of them selves as a family an ryan does come out to communicate with blake an his party. tends to help them out an they also help ryan out as in the first book

Good

I enjoyed this book and was angry at it most of the time, that's a sign of good writing.
