Publisher's summary

Lich is the newest Dungeon Core to grace the world. But he doesn’t conform to the usual four energy types—nor Air, nor Earth, nor Fire, nor Water. Instead, he is a Soul Core. Glimpses of his previous life haunt his dreams but offer clues to solving the mystery of his bizarre magical affinity. Memories of an undead city, burning light, and an order of terrible crusaders fill his thoughts.

Accompanied by his dungeon guide, Nettle, a bone sprite who doesn’t take her job too seriously, and Baxter, a gheist with a flair for the dramatic, Lich must navigate the trials of his new existence. Expanding and growing beneath a decrepit graveyard, he creates eldritch creatures and twisted traps for unsuspecting adventurers.

Unbeknownst to the Dungeon Core, a sinister force from his past has set its sights on capturing him for an ancient ritual—a ritual that needed a fifth type of Dungeon Core to succeed.

Annoying memoryLoss

MC has not memory so he acts like a child. He is easily tricked by an annoying character who attaches themselves to him. Which means at the very start it loses a ton of control and can’t be trusted to be its own character.

It's good but it's ending just needed something mo

It's a good story but it needs something more And it comes to the ending One of those stories where it has to That both books put out at the same time in order for it to be really fulfilled The other problem is trying to hunt it down it's like audible playing favorites again and forgetting to put this on the 4th Web page I didn't know that this was out for 3 days afterwards and only because I stumbled across it when I was looking for other books

Phenomenal start!!!!!!

Pro:
This is one of the better Dungeon Core LitRPG novels I have listened too! The MC isn’t dramatically over powered, the writer gave plausible reasons for any spikes in power, the upgrading system is easily grasped and the supporting characters are actually supporting.

Cons:
The names!!! The names suck…yes the majority of the supporting cast are made up of nonhumans, so I wasn’t expecting Carl or Bob…But those names!!! And trust me when y’all listen, you will immediately know the name I’m referring too!

Overall:
A great book!!!!! I wonderful use of a credit, however I wish it was a tad bit longer. If the second installment is a bit longer I’ll come running with the pre-order!!!

This book ends in the middle of the beginning

The book ends right as they begin to introduce the antagonists. It is decent, idk if the accents/dialect is a narrator choice or the book, but its not my cup of tea. it's not a bad move but not for me.
There are tons of loose ends to this story which is annoying, and the characters are very annoying.

Personally I would skip this one

Not the best. The core ends up being super annoying with the memory loss asking way to may questions. Also the core fairy is useless and just complains all the time.
