About this listen

A lich, a storm dragon's claws, and a battle for freedom.

Gage has 10 days to rescue his loved ones before they're sacrificed, but if he's going to fight through an army of demons to get them out of the prison camp, he's going to need a powerful weapon.

An ex-Demon Hunter turned lich is rumored to have just the thing: The claws of an ancient storm dragon that will give Gage the powers of a Storm Lord. But, the lich was banished into the Dreaming a century ago, so tracking him down won't be easy.

Stealing treasure from a lich is no simple task, but if he has to, Gage will pry the weapon from the monster's cold, undead hands.

From author Nathan Ameye comes the next book in the best-selling Fae Nexus series, perfect for fans of post-apocalyptic LitRPG like Red Mage or System Apocalypse.

Is some of the best lit rpg

I found myself engaged the entire time and loved the story as well as all the characters and narration. I Was never very upset at the characters for doing ridiculous things and even the small mistakes they made fit with the story and were not used to force a plot along. The magic system and the lower as well as twell as the animal companion Were some of my favorites. The only negative part I have is that it's over but it was 15 hours which is a decent timeline unlike a lot of these authors fishing for credits with an 8 hour book. If you like fantasy and lit RPG with characters you can actually respect I would recommend it.

Good sequel

I felt like there was less dice rolling which was a plus in my mind. I love the hillbilly vibe that the book has. There was some good progress made with the individual characters. I loved the dual narrators. They both did a great job.

great sequel

it starts exactly where book 1 ended (maybe go read the last couple of chapters to catch up) and continue on in exactly the same tracks, so if you enjoyed the first book, I'm certain that this is a book for you.
the world is explored further, the gang levels up and we even learn more about them as people, what's not to love?

Steve and Marli is an excellent duo that greatly compliment each other and I hope to hear more them...

Super Sequal

I was on the edge of my seat by the end of book 1. Book 2 did not disappoint...except to put me on the edge of my seat in anticipation for book 3.
Our heroes need to save their families and friends, beat the big bad, and save the day. No pressure right?
Pray for a good roll of the dice so we can all make it through this alive.
Steve and Marli bring the world to life again. All the stars!
This one is a can't-put-down action packed installment to the story...MORE PLEASE!

Still Awesome and More

I enjoyed this one as much as the 1st one. The story continued where it left off and I liked that. It still got all of the awesome elements from Book 1 and more. The crew leveled up, faced new challenges and enemies, and found a new friend (Bodhi 🖤)

Marli Watson's such a delight to listen to and so talented. She and Steve Campbell did a superb with this duet.
