About this listen

A deep exploration of the neuroscience behind manifestation, with a six-part plan for realizing your dreams

For decades the practice of manifestation has been widely dismissed as self-involved, materialistic pseudoscience. But as neuroscientist and recognized compassion leader Dr. James Doty reveals, manifestation introduces us to different possibilities, and it lays the groundwork for a kinder, better world.

Doty grounds us in the practices that change our brain structures: attention, meditation, visualization, and compassion. This mind magic allows us to move through the world in ways that help us see clearly—reclaiming our agency, realizing our dreams, and reaching out to help others along the path.

Where previous works about manifestation have focused narrowly on outward success and individual benefit, Mind Magic delivers an openhearted call to make manifestation part of a deeper contribution to healing the problems we face today.

Needs a professional reader

The author has an extremely distracting way of speaking where there’s a pause every 3 or 4 words and a slight “uptalk”. It was so distracting I couldn’t concentrate on the material. If you can read this with a different voice actor, do it. Otherwise skip it until you can.

The breathing techniqued

What I liked the most was the honesty of manifesting and that its not something that happens overnight its a process that you need to do daily.

Your mind plays tricks

I love the way Dr. Doty describes the reasons of why manifestation work. I mean, it is commonly known that the subconscious is the most powerful processor of information. But, getting to understand how it guides you when you program it is just amazing.

Magic Review

I loved this book. It was very well written. It clearly outlined how to DO manifestation. It also explains the brain functions that make manifestation possible. The journey and transformation of Dr. Doty gave relatable context that helps the reader to grasp the concepts and therefore believe that manifestation is truly possible for themselves.

The scientific perspective on manifestation

I enjoyed the neurological description of the processes of manifestation and how we can turn our dreams into reality by changing our thinking.

Don't buy this on audible!

This book is so incredible, but I wish I had bought the ebook and added audible, there are too many places in the book that are a, b, c and 1, 2, 3 lists, there are lists of acronyms... this book is not great as a stand alone audible. The content of the book, is amazing and I'm glued to it. The audible is narrated by the author which makes it so meant. This is a must read!
