Chock full of explanations and examples, this book can teach you to be aware of and change the monologue to increase your love, understanding and compassion for yourself and for others. If applied, this book can help you undo negative perceptions and coping strategies that are hindering your life

Awesome Audiobook
My therapist recommended this to me, she uses it for reference in a lot of our sessions. helped me understand the source of my problems, as well as find ways to combat it. after this book i am no longer a slave to my mind's beatings. i am free. matthew mckay is a saint. i got a better job, im eating healthier, im going to the gym, im making friends, and not to mention its easier to talk to the men hueheheuhe, get my drift.

Incredibly useful
Incredibly useful for understanding yourself and improving yourself. It doubles up as a parenting guide, since you'll understand how to raise a kid's self-esteem, and what manner of parenting and interacting with your kid will destroy it.

Wonderfully informative!
This author gives it to you straight, then tells you how to apply it to your life. Her approach is intelligent and solution focused. I use this book often in my coaching sessions.

Awesome Audiobook
I find this workbook to be thorough and holistic. It touches on so many factors that contribute towards self-esteem. I particularly love that she addresses how earlier messages in life impact self-esteem. As a clinician, I will be recommending this workbook to my clients. Thanks for this work

Bad reader
I enjoyed the materials presented in the book, but it was painful to listen too. The readers voice was sooo monotone and boring! there were no ups or down. It made it very very difficult for me to remain engaged. I had to re-listen at different points several times. Please change the reader
