About this listen

Fleeing from a vengeful king has sent the former NPCs across Solium's borders, into the kingdom of Alcatham. As wanted fugitives, they head to the small farming village of Briarwillow, hoping to blend in, lay low, and avoid trouble at all costs. Unfortunately, Briarwillow has problems all its own, and its troubles quickly become theirs. If they hope to survive long enough to escape, they'll have to tackle an all-but-forgotten mystery buried at the town's border as well as seek the wisdom of a mysterious group of mages. With time, magic, and at least one god against them, it will take everything they've got to save Briarwillow - and themselves.

Needs to move on

Great narrator, full characters... Slow plot and without a spoiler, there is just too much of the big picture they never deal with. Move on or stop teasing us.

Enjoyed this book as much as the first.

Looking forward to the next in the series. Fun stuff and the narrator does a nice job.

Hayes did it again

Drew Hayes is most likely my new favorite author! Not only does he seems to publish at a fair clip he always delivers an excellent tale with solid twists and turns!

As for Roger Wayne I will have to dig into other books he's narrated because if he does half as well at those then he's one of the better narrators I've heard on audible!

just a great fun story

I can't remember the last time I've simply enjoyed a series so much. They are just fun reads and the narration is well done. my only complaint is that there isn't more of it. anyone that has ever enjoyed some type of time playing will enjoy this series

Great sequel, reads like an actual D&D module

Thought this was better than the first book with plenty of action and it felt like an actual play through of the module. Excited for the 3rd that just came out!

Loved it, and a must for gamers of the RPG genre

It stayed true to my review of the first installment, great narration, character development, very fun, action packed and smooth story. You really get to know, and have emotional responses to what happens to the characters. Super fun fantasy story, and a serious bonus enjoyment if you are a video gamer, especially of the rpg genre. The "twist" I mention in my review of the first book "NPC's" gets even deeper and more fun as the story unravels. loved it.

Great Continuation

If you liked the first one, this one certainly has the same charm. Just as much fun for the tabletop lover to enjoy.
