About this listen

The man who broke the world has risen from the pages of history… and Keiran is the only one who can stop him.

With the awakening of the lich lord Ammun Nescect, Keiran must contend with his greatest challenge yet. His former apprentice, an archmage in his own right, stands between Keiran and his goals of tearing down the tower rooted in the world core itself.

While Ammun remains trapped, unable to leave the world’s one and only source of mana, Keiran prepares for the battle. But he isn’t the only one who’s been preparing, and if Ammun’s machinations come to fruition, nowhere will be safe from the lich’s reach.

Keiran must act quickly, for he knows that if Ammun frees himself from his prison, the outcome of their next meeting has inevitable, and fatal, implications for him.

Can he regain enough of his lost power to face an immortal lich in open battle?

These books get better and better

I’m the type that doesn’t like books and barely like audiobooks… This series is amazing though and has me HOOKED!
This book was by far the most action packed out of the first 4 books! I can’t wait until the 5th book in April. I want to say more but don’t want to give spoilers!
Amazing though! 5/5 10/10 GIVE ME BOOK 5!!!!

excellent narration for an excellent story!

well I love how conflicted I am over Keiran himself, I must confess that I'm a little put off by the lack of a love interest. well I like that the story does focus mostly on his progression and action, I always feel that stories do better when there's a little romance in there. It would be nice to see that there was someone in the world that could actually catch Kieran's eye.

Great Book

I must say, without spoiling the story. This is an excellent book. The way he deals with problems and the hesitation to trust and how it builds up is very interesting. The book was worth the credit. Now time for the next book.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw book 4 was released unexpectedly. By far one of my favorite series, overall thoroughly enjoyed. Will continue on with the series and wait excitedly for the next release. Good work

Pacing,character building,and plot

Honestly the entire story has been a blast and if I haven’t made a review on book 1 I need to so people give this a chance, the pacing while fast is perfectly done imo, the main character doesn’t feel shotty he’s growing as the story moves on and unlike similar stories he isn’t stuck one way despite the circumstances (having already lived so long) he’s changing. That’s great considering the type of story this is, it’s new and refreshing. Honestly the entire tower arc and everything after that has been amazing and I honestly wish this story went on longer than it’s going to but I have too give thanks too the autho AND VOICE ACTORS for bringing this piece of work to life for me too enjoy while at work.

Extremely well preformed with great twists

Honestly I started this series just because the first book’s cover looked cool, and though it’s a known thing that you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, I’m glad I did. This entire series has bean amazing. If I had one complaint I would say that some of the fights lasted a long time like in the later half of the book some lasted like hours. This is by no means a deal breaker as it is very well done both story wise and from the voice actors, it just gets a little boring after like 40 minutes that’s all. Still an amazing series and loved this book especially.

Annoyed he Didn't Talk to his Sister

Story sets up a much needed character interaction between Kieran and his sister, after she yells about her insecurities. He tells his parents he will be back in a day or two to talk with her, setting up a nice bit of character development. Proceeds to completely ignore the entire thing, does other stuff, and we never actually get the interaction.

Also, there is a chapter where it sounds like an airplane is flying around in the narrator's background.
