I am so grateful to Dr. Haver for writing this book and for her presence on social media. Thank you for acknowledging all of us who have been misdirected for years! Beginning with perimenopause (over 10 years ago) I have been to countless doctors, therapists, and specialists, and not once was I offered MHT. I spent tens of thousands of dollars out-of-pocket on a Functional Medicine Doctor and Holistic dentist who removed all the metal fillings in my mouth, and other therapies for my depression and profound exhaustion. I have had many of the symptoms Dr. Haver writes about in this book, but since hot flashes weren't one of them, I was never offered MHT. Thank you for being a champion of women's health and for helping to turn the tide. I see a lot of positive things on the horizon, and I hope this information reaches all the women who need it.

A must-read for all women perimenopause and beyond!

Sometimes I couldn’t tell if she was talking about herself until she said the lady’s first name and age. Otherwise I now own it to reread! I also joined The Pause. Thank you for this!!!

Useful information! Great to know I’m not alone! 🤗

After my second kid stopped nursing, my body didn’t recover they way it had before. I was 39 and healthy, running 30/40 miles a week training for marathons and half marathons. My periods came back but were irregular and came w painful cramps. My sleep was sporadic, interrupted and inconsistent. My stress levels were thru the roof caring for my family and helping care for my parents. I was constantly on the verge of tears. My skin was different. I had headaches and body aches. Alcohol started hitting me differently. My doc said perimenopause and this is all normal - she prescribed 800mg ibuprofen and antidepressants. My 40s sped by - perimenopause symptoms continued, I felt as if my body wasn’t mine, the changes weren’t controllable - I just felt icky.
I began reevaluating everything. Eating habits, drinking habits, sleep habits. Cleaned it all up, broke bad habits - set myself up for success the way I always did for my kids and hubby. I still felt icky. Then Dr Haver drifted into my FB feed. I learned so much!! I couldn’t wait for this book to come out! This book gave me the language I needed to discuss w my doctor what I needed. It gave me confirmation that I wasn’t crazy - just an appointment away from feeling normal again. Thank you Dr Haver!!🙌🏼

Loved the way she tackles a difficult subject because the studies on Menopause are smaller and sparse but I enjoyed it, and learned a lot

Many resources for easing difficult symptoms

Must read by every woman or anyone who wants to understand the women in their life. I wish I had known how the symptoms I experienced for the last 10 to 15 years could be tied together instead of having doctors simply brush them off as age and weight issues that could only be helped with another unwanted pill.

Life changing
