About this listen

This is how the world ends: with a single snowflake.

After a tragic accident at work, all Grady Miller wanted was an escape. He finds it months later with two of his closest friends. Together, the three of them travel south to Prism Lake for the upcoming holiday, where they plan on spending the sunny weekend drinking, grilling, and relaxing.

But when a series of monstrous blizzards cover the Eastern United States in feet of snow, knocking out communications and making the roads impossible to drive on, they realize their weekend of fun could turn into a lifetime of survival.

Because there's something out there besides the cold....

Something sinister....

Okay…

Okay story. Narration left much to be desired. The voices all sounded the same, except male vs female. It was hard to tell who was talking. MG’s voices usually seem to sound jovial no matter the situation. Ending was a disappointment; no closure!

Scary and just about perfect for a long road trip!

Not my usual genre, but I'm glad I took a chance on this standalone novel.

Surprisingly good

I didn’t know what to expect with this title because it’s not my genre of choice, but I’m really glad I went with it. I didn’t want to stop listening. Really good!

Different apocalyptic tale

Great start to a series. It’s not the zombie or virus EOTW tale, which is usually my preference, but its written well. Has interesting main character, although can be a bit predictable at times. Will continue this series!

Awesomeness Guaranteed

The Snow was by far the best multi-media novel I have ever had the pleasure of reading m/listening to in my 70 years on this planet. Matt Godfrey made my year. I listened to it in one setting. While painting and rearranging my kitchen cupboards.

Creepy and good

I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by this read. This book was really good and done too soon so off to find the one in this series.

Interesting

This was not bad for a plus catalog book. It was interesting enough that I finished it in a day. I don’t feel strongly that I want to continue with the series but this is a genre I wouldn’t typically read. My biggest complaint is that the writing seems a little juvenile but I think that was intentional, because of the mindset of the main character.

Feel So Cheated

Disappointed in the ending. It just stopped. So what happened to the newly formed family and did they find out the cause of the snow in July? I feel the whole story was incomplete!
