About this listen

The Spectral City of Cathella is shrouded in strange magic of a powerful artifact. Krian must face the Great Dragons of Pangea, an impossible quest on the Ancient Paths, transformed by the Twice Cursed God, a journey through an endless graveyard, the smile of the Goddess of Stealth....

And rage. Infinite rage. The path to the higher plane never seems to end, too much for any man to overcome....

But not for an Elder Demon. And so he soldiers on, after the black crow and toward the red moon over hanging over the valleys of Karn.

I liked it but gosh

I was so annoyed he didn't wrap up the first scene with Max. By the 9th chapter, I was done and hated everything, and by the end, I'd forgotten I was even annoyed and couldn't remember why.

5 Stars

I am thoroughly enjoying this series! Great narration by both Zach Villa and as always Nick Podehl.

Starry Skies of Darkaan

Great book, although I’d have liked a bit more in the end.
Written well.
Performed as usual, greatly done.

Length v price is my only downside.

Amazing!!

I usually hate books when the narrative skips back and forth between story lines but this series is a most excellent exception... sooo good.

What happened to the MC?

This series was outstanding until book 3. We lost our reader in book 4 which was a miserable attempt at the story. This book our MC has become nothing more than an apathetic tag along. In previous books our MC planned his character growth and lead his troops. Now he acts stupid and whines on every occasion and has someone else lead his campaigns. The book got a bit better for the last two hours but still in the end this was just another terrible installment.
