The year is 2245, and the world has undergone explosive growth in multiple industries. The age of Virtual Reality came long ago, opening up new fields for people to enjoy and seek employment. There were even those that chose to sacrifice their physical bodies, becoming digital existences that lived within Internet communities.
But with the age of VR, everyone still dreamed of that next step, the next level of adventure. And after 100 years, it has finally arrived. The first consoles, known as Seeds, are mass distributed among the people, with such realism that they no longer qualified as a Virtual Reality, but as an Artificial Reality. But what happens when things become too real?

If you could sum up World Seed: Game Start in three words, what would they be?
I feel like this whole book was just a preface for the rest of there series. There are really no consistent protagonist. Only in the last few chapters did any intrigue finally show up. I felt like this story reads more as a diary and less as a story. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Give it a villain/corporation that the main charter is growing to battle.Any additional comments?
It is not a bad start to a series, but it really left a lot to be desired. I think that the author has a lot more to give as everything is very detailed and imaginative. I just feel like the meat of the story was missing.Could Be Better

Many of the reviews are correct. This book has very little story, containing mostly game mechanics. I'm writing this review here after finishing the third book. Don't give up on this series. The first book seems to be setting everything up. It gets more interesting and adds a tremendous amount of unique ideas to both LITRPG and SciFi. Once the second book comes suddenly there is a story and at least I, am finding it interesting.Have finished all 3 books

VR book with an interesting magic / syfy combo & a RL twist, that subtly impacts the whole setting: NO SPOILERS.
It's 3.5 for me: #1 theirs a bit too much internal thinking, to figure how magic & stuff work. #2 so it's mostly a story, with interesting concepts.

It's probably would be a good listen for anyone that just want relatively passive book to listen to but I generally prefer action and adventure.
