Rough narration and nothing unique or special

Just under 5 hours in before I through in the towel. Maybe I give the e-book a shot of I hit a dry spell but I just couldn't get past the full narrator. The story isn't bad but I dont care about any of the characters yet.

I tried... it wasn't my cup of tea hopefully someone comes around and tells me that it gets better.

Took a LONG time to get to VR &

Once it got their it was REAL slow + I had to boost the speed, to compensate for all the filler & the slow reader. Performance was ok at best: verry little difference in voices.

Good story ok narrator

I'm only a couple hours into the book so far but what I heard so far it's turning out to be a great book. However the narrator is bland it's really no emotions to his voice and he only changes his voice slightly between characters making it hard for me to till when someone else is talking, the female voices are worse making your voice a pitch higher doesn't make it sound like a female at all. This is one of your first books so I'm going to stick it out but idk if I'll buy the second book if the narrator is like this all the time. Other then the performance you made a amazing book. Another thing I understand the military people in the book hasn't played any game but it's like you only used them being military as a backstory their military training barely shows at all for example when faced with a ambush the first thing a military commander a special operative at that does is swing is sword frantically I never went to the military but even I know soldiers have more common sense then what you interpret in here

A weak knock off. Garbage

I gave this a listen and this was just garbage. Let me start by saying that the narrator was so bad, no inflection, and no change in tone or anything. This was so bad, he had one accent and couldn’t change his voice at all. Then we got to the story and that was just trash. The team is supposed to go rescue the DNC presidential nomination, but then the team that they get is appearing to be good, but once they get into the game world they just want to have sex. Tell me seriously if that’s all they want to do then why call them professional or Special Forces. They were foolish, then first obstacle they start arguing and the team came apart. I gave up whenever they started to have sex whenever they were unsecure and some of the team got killed. That was it for me, I couldn’t take it anymore and had to return it.
Final thoughts save your money and get something else. This is not worth it even with all those 5 stars.
