Publisher's summary

The end of the world had arrived just as many had predicted, in a global exchange of nuclear weapons.

What no one predicted was the sudden message that appeared before every living soul moments before impact, a message from "The Administrators" revealing our entire world and everything in it to be a species simulation. According to the message, humanity had been reset over a million times and every single time we could not prevent our own extinction.

No more resets for humanity. No more chances.

They would leave our world an irradiated disaster, but to keep things interesting, they would convert our species simulation to a game for their twisted entertainment.

Digital or not, real or not, I have a family to protect. A wife and daughter who need me, universe be damned. I say bring it on. Welcome to the end of the world.

Welcome to The Great Filter.

Thumbs up

I thought it was very well done. Put aside any notions of anything believable and just enjoy the outlandish nature of the book.

dencent start not a fan of the climax

It bugs me a bit that the characters being up a common trope almost right off the bat and the author still let's three intelligent beings conveniently forget it for plot progression. The characters are well thought out but the mistakes they make are stupid given their other actions and back stories.

its so so

story is ok like at the end it says you can’t please everyone but a main character change is equivalent to a different story different book etc... so to end it the way they did isn’t tragic its just poor plot line

A fantastic experience

This story was a great read. I wish there was more. I strongly recommend for anyone who enjoys litRPG, survival stories, and light base building. It's an interesting concept and the execution was very entertaining.

A little better than a meh

Performance was good, and they set up a new world, but then I stopped caring about what they were doing by the end. I also feel that the litrpg style didn't affect anything and stats didn't matter.

What was the point of mentioning double tap?

So the actual story was good, twists were fun, but there’s a moment when double tap was confirmed as something the characters acknowledge and that it’s stupid when horror movies forget to do it, and then the ending proceeds to go awry due to no one doing their double tap duty. Seems a little dumb, but damn are the characters lovable. Good book overall.
