About this listen

Only one man can cheat to create change in the dungeon of Order. Old evils lurk within. Love will smite them.

Artorian gave up his administrator privileges only to be thrust into a new role. The law he is bound to allows him to slip past Eternium’s ironclad rules and break things once thought immutable. For his family, for all of their futures, he must boldly go where few in Cal like to venture: the game world of Eternia.

Most of the people that have come to test this world hate being here: dying in days and returning home in disarray. Artorian agrees with them: A body based entirely on hard numbers and increasingly potent limiters is a stark difference from the intent-based Essence user he has always been. Eternia is no final product, riddled with more holes than a wheel of dire cheese. This wireframe of a world is seemingly held together with glue, tape, and moody pylons. He vows to dig into the construction, finding and fixing where it went wrong.

Yet, why meander through scaffolding when one can parkour through the rafters? It’s speed-run time!

Excellent story and Narration

You need to start with the first book and work your way through the series. It blends well with other books and I feel they are all coming to a main event. Love the story and stick with the narrator.

Good continuation of the series.

definitely a book that you need to have read all the previous parts to understand. like some of the books of this type it tends to get filled in a lot with the prompts that the character sees. at least an hour it seems like I'm just reading the prompts and notifications.

all around fantastic

yet another wonderful addition to the series. the world building is extensive and well displayed without info dumping large chunks that have little to no bearing on the story line or being overly vague. the characters are well fleshed out with realistic development and reactions to situations. the result of actions well balanced with clear, as well in some situations actual mathematically/scientifically correct, effects. the prose is wonderful, not overly verbose or bland. there are so many jokes, memes, and references that it will take more than a single listen through for most to catch some of the more subtle ones but they are well placed and timed giving good laughs. the plot is well thought out, the rising action and climax expertly executed with a beautiful falling action/resolution that still leaves you hungry for more. I cannot say enough good about this installment while still avoiding spoilers. our favorite grandpa has done it again! its always a real treat and joy to see another book come out by these two writers as you know you're going to get top quality while still getting the feels. all around fantastic.
the narrators performance is wonderful as always. his vocal and accent range astonishing to behold. his reading pace is perfect, he clearly enunciates and is easily understandable.

Adventurous

Another well written story with everyone's favorite grampa at the center. Can't get enough of this guy. Just when you think is almost over, the story takes another plot twist. Excellent work as always.
