About this listen

The Amanecida Gate is open. Blessed fresh air! Why are there no people?

Artorian's stroll onto Earth is cut short by a dagger in the back. Dealing with an unjust loss, he's torn between mourning what was lost and plotting a deviously calculated revenge. An eye for an eye, a stab for a stab. It's time to roll up those sleeves, whip out the master plan, and get down to crafting the narrative.

Preparations must be made to return all that is Cultivator, to a world neither ready nor adapted for them, with a status quo that not everyone is happy with. The factions of old bristle and rise. Hidden enemies reveal themselves. Odin laughs, and brings a final surprise. Grandpa, the Grand Architect, will accomplish an impossible, single-minded goal.

Thunder will die, and Apollo will kick him out of the sky.

Good book

Honestly for me it was a bit slow until Chapter 23 but after that it was amazing. I just listened at 2 times speed til then due to my brain disliking things going slow. Then I listened at 1.2 or 1.5 speed the rest of the way. I love Dakota’s books if you haven’t already try their other books on here as well they are all good.

Consistent Excellence

Dakota always puts quality into his work. Each page is lovingly crafted which befits the main character, an old man with two hearts of purest gold. I really can't recommend this book enough. Please give it a go.

Book of transitioning

This book takes a long time for anything significant to happen, but I did enjoy the sweet moments and the goodies he got. It feels more like a .5 book than a book in of itself but I also understand why this can't be. The training seemed more like torture than anything else, but I also understand that it was required because of his current state. The end seems like a very good setup for the next book though and I enjoyed it. I am really looking forward to what somes next. it should be very interesting. Cleaning up those enemies was also very ... clean. Thanks.

Back to the old world

Performance: John Pirhalla is great as he has been for the past 6 books. I am unsure if he is pronouncing Tatum incorrectly or pronouncing Totum (calling back to the potato joke) correctly, which was my only hangup and would be fixed easily with whispersync.

Story: Artorian finally gets to get out of Cal for a bit. Hijinx ensue. Revenge is served up in a uniquely Artorian fashion. Great new chapter of this story and it feels refreshing to be away from "The Game" and back to where stakes exist.

was good but sort of not

I felt like the Odin derangement syndrome went on a little too long and I had to skip it. it's the first time I've ever had to do that one of these books, but everything else about the story was fine

great story

this book feels like it gets back to the original roots of the story, while still adding in new stuff. the narration isn't the best, and that made it hard to follow on occasion, but overall I love the story and can't wait for more.

Typical grandpa

This is a typical story of our favorite grandpa, regardless of the age he presents. His usual antics with some under the covers world building and even some real world interaction. It's a good read and an easy listen with good voice acting.

The best in many books.

The ending of this one was just fabulous. I love the way ended. I like the way it closed up the emotional torment Of the last few books and I really don't think it could be any better. I'm enjoying the fact that we're finally back to the reand I hope everyone f****** reads this.
