Highly recommend

This is definitely worth the listen. It has some great practical tips on how to actively improve your thinking. From what S.M.A.R.T. goals are and how to set them, to actively working on the weak points we all have in our personalities. I can appreciate the real-world examples. I would have like to hear more about using CBT around limiting beliefs outside of a clinical setting because I think there's potential for application in varying aspects of life. I find with listening to books, I need to put it on 2x speed to stay actively engaged. All in all, this was a great introduction to CBT and it's spurred me to pick up more books on it.

The tutor was very easy to listen to studies

The tutor was very easy to listen to and I particularly liked the stories of the three case studies, hearing them in person and seeing them benefit from their homework assignments was very useful. I've got a notebook app on my phone and I found it useful to jot down ideas for my own 'toolbox'.

patient's brain thinking about the answers

It is a series of several lectures with some case studies thrown in. I thought the narration was far too slow and the case studies, although interesting in part, were also too slow. You could almost hear the patient's brain thinking about the answers and there were those long therapeutic silences too.

Absolutely excellent

I’m a therapist and bought this as a refresher for the CBT modality. I appreciate that it listens kind of like a self-help book, which makes it easier to translate for my clients. Easy to listen and follow.

It is one of the best audible!

I like the way this audio book is clear and concise, and to the point. I also appreciated the section on core beliefs as that is important and not always talked about.

Those actionable phrases help me a lot

I actually liked the audio book in that you talked about CT more toward the end, and then it compared them to some of the other less philosophical, thought.
