Great book

With IF, there’s no mistake that you will lose weight but when the plateau hits, it’s hard to get motivated and carry on. In this book, the author describes the different ways to do intermittent fasting and helps the reader identify which is the right method depending on one’s body by adding the Atkins diet. Atkins focuses on limited carbs to help the body burn fat instead of sugar for fuel. The book covers the worst mistakes people make when starting IF and provides tips for making it a successful lifestyle change. Overall, the book is informative, easy to read, and a must have.

A simple Effective guide

This is an amazing book for women over 50 to follow. The book is age friendly as it accommodates women of all ages and sizes. The book allows one to chose which method of intermittent fasting they would prepare and what pace I am going to engage towards my goal of loosing weight.overall the author has done a good job in getting information for the book, The book is very educative.

Something for everyone

Intermittent fasting for women over 50 is full of helpful information. I really appreciated how this book talked about different options and ways this process can work giving flexibility to work for different individuals. I also really liked the importance on a healthy diet to help care for our bodies. This book is also uplifting and encouraging which is so helpful in working on a healthy way of living.

A must read for women over 50!

This is a must-read for women over 50 who are struggling to lose stubborn weight due to menopause and other hormonal changes. The author does a fabulous job of outlining different options for losing weight using IF and layering on the Atkins diet. You can read and decide what intermittent fasting strategy works best for you depending on your body type and lifestyle. The recipes at the end of the book are also fantastic with so many sweet options for those of you that, like me, can't keep away from deserts!

Yummy recipes and easy to follow plans

This book laid out the plans for intermittent fasting in such an easy way. Some books five too far and you get lost on what you should do. This book made a plan for me and I’m grateful for that. The recipes at the end of the book sound so delicious and I can’t wait to try them. If you are looking for a book that has an easy to follow plan to keep you on track for your weight loss journey, purchase this book!

Meat and potatoes

This book gives you the meat and potatoes of intermittent fasting, especially for women over 50. I can see my wife using it as I know she only eats once a day but it varies. These are specific rules for the diet and this book explained them nicely. Don't starve yourself and try this diet!

Got me back on track

I've been slowly but steadily losing weight over the summer months, but once we got into fall I hit a plateau. It was frustrating that I was still working on my diet, but I wasn't seeing the results that I used to see. Then I listened to this book. It gave me some fresh new ideas to keep me going on my weight loss journey. I also like that this book talks about detoxing. That's another topic I've been interested in, but didn't know much about.

Apply the principles in both of these books as a weapon against the creeping weight gain associated with the loss of estrogen in the post-menopausal woman. It's frustrating but there is enough information to give a 2-prong approach to losing or maintaining weight. Try IF at first, get that working for you, then throw in the Atkins diet to turbocharge your regimen. The included recipes will help with that.
