About this listen

Heroes rise. Evil falls. But Legends never die...

On a celestial battlefield, the great warrior Boom once stood alongside gods and angels to defend the fabric of existence.

Now, this fabled hero lives out his days in a quaint village where legendary figures spend their eternal retirement. Because legends may never die, but they have to wind up somewhere.

Life there is quiet, almost boring, until a band of bandits and an overzealous kingdom threaten the peace. The time has come for Boom and his companions to rise once more and face a new enemy!

Legendary Retirement is the start of a new progression fantasy adventure about retired heroes who still have some fight left in them. Featuring LitRPG elements, Overpowered MCs, unforgettable characters, epic battles, and plenty of laughs, this satirical take on Progression Fantasy is filled with nonstop-action!

when the God's check out

an invisible barrier separates a strange town of immortals from the restvof the world until it fails. It was an interesting spin on immortality and I'm interested in seeing where it goes from here.

Soooooooo darn ridiculous that you can't help but love ❤ it!

What an absodamnlutely ridiculous story! And yeah I loved it only considering for a minute to dnf it. Hey it was only for a minute... for reals 😄 ... so yeah you'll need to give the book and before too long you'll find yourself laughing on the floor. Get the audiobook and meet the residents of Boomtown.

Here's just one of the many quotes that I found amusing:

"Sir Boom might refuse to comply, but there was a way to get him up and moving. “There are outsiders in the village, and they’re ransacking the cigar shop.”

It was okay.

I have a hard time with the Narrator. His pitch drops at the end of every sentance. The humor kind of lands somewhere in the buggs bunny Elmer Fudd range. I think thats great in a cartoon but it lands flat for me in an audio book.
