About this listen

Keith Ferrazzi is a master networker who claims his secret is merely reaching out to other people. And what distinguishes highly successful people from everyone else is the way they use the power of relationships, so that everyone wins. In Never Eat Alone, Ferrazzi presents the specific steps and mindset he uses to connect with the thousands of individuals in his Rolodex.

Ferrazzi's form of connecting to people is based on generosity, helping friends connect with other friends. He distinguishes genuine relationship-building from the crude, desperate glad-handling usually associated with "networking". In the course of the book, Ferrazzi outlines the timeless strategies shared by the world's most connected individuals, from Katherine Graham to Bill Clinton, Vernon Jordan to the Dalai Lama.

Chock full of specific advice on handling rejection, getting past gatekeepers and more, Never Eat Alone is destined to take its place as an inspirational classic.

Great book; not may favorite narration

I enjoyed this book, but was not the biggest fan of the narration. However, after a few minutes of listening I was able to get used to it after each stopping point. I would have have recommended it to friends and associates.

Great stuff, a bit long-winded

Lots of great ideas here about growing your network personally and professionally. It could be a bit shorter and communicate the same basic substance. Be sure to set your iPod reading speed to "Faster." ;)

great book, great narrator

This book was great! The content combined with the narrator's tone created a very enjoyable and educational listen. I listened several times, each time with new take aways and action items.

Excellent Book

The content of this book is great! And, although Keith Ferrazzi does a good job reading his book, his reading pace was a little slow for me and didn't hold my attention as well as I personally would have liked.

Very few valuable insights.

What did you like best about Never Eat Alone? What did you like least?

The story of the author is inspiring. He went from being a working class kid to becoming a successful businessman. However, the book is self-congratulatory and very light on any real insights. The book is mostly common sense. The predominant thought I had reading the book was that the author was not qualified and hadn't formed nearly enough original ideas to be writing a book.

The Renaissance of the Human Connection

This is a great title! The middle has quite a bit to do with sales development and branding, but the ending chapters are solid gold. There excellent stories of success, failures and the lessons learned. The finish is solid gold. If someone has recommended this book or if you have seen it on the bookshelf of someone you respect, as I did. Go get it. You are ready. Enjoy!
