Healing from COVID
COVID left me with wounds I didn't know how to heal. Until then, I could tackle the stress that came my way. After COVID, my shadow self was broken. No amount of bubble baths or chocolate indulgences could quelch the ache in my soul. Thanks to this audiobook, I have embraced my shadow self and truly started the healing process. I have started journaling. I use the mirror technique. More than anything, I have unraveled the treads of trauma and have started the healing journey my soul has been searching for.

Especially nice narration
This audiobook takes you through understandings and insights into your 'shadow' self and gently guides you into processes to help release past trauma's and events that hurt. As mentioned it's very nicely narrated which makes a big difference in my opinion and creates a pleasant listening experience.

Amazing book on shadow work!!
I've been on the hunt for a good Shadow Work book for a while now. There are so many options it's easy to get lost in the choices and wonder which ones are good, if any. Then by happenstance I got offered a free copy of this audiobook, and thought it was perfect timing.
I finished it in one go and I absolutely love it. It's exactly what I wanted. It's not merely a bunch of explanations or prompts but thoughtfully interwoven to guide how to explore your subconscious/inner world. I will definitely listen to it again and again.
What really hit home for me was the part about understanding our emotions on a deeper level. It's not just "hey, let's talk about your feelings"; it's more like "let's uncover this superpower you didn't know you had." And the trauma healing section? So, so powerful. It's handled with such care, and the techniques are something else — they're profound without feeling overwhelming.
I also deeply resonated with the journey to reconnect with your inner child. It felt like I was rekindling a relationship with an old friend, and it brought this sense of joy and peace into my life that I didn't know I was missing. Plus, the transformation isn't this big, scary thing — it's natural, it's real, and you're in the driver's seat.

Move Toward Wholeness
I loved the metaphors in this book – they are so apt and vivid. 'Shadow work is digging for gold' and this book shows you how. It’s perfect for people who are new to shadow work and those who’ve done it before but want to integrate some more.
I loved the premise that the shadow is not your enemy which is foundational to this book and for any successful integration of the shadow. This book will help you work out the roots of your shame and move toward wholeness.

Definitely Recommended
I have been going through my own shadow work for years. In recent years I have been coaching others through the Shadow lands. I continue to investigate materials and this one has served quite well in a concise and clear manner. Whether working with a coach, on your own or in a group this is a very good resource that I highly recommend.

Very insightful and easy to follow
This workbook offers a profound exploration of Jungian Shadow Work, delving into five common wounds. I like also the author's engaging style and use of metaphors which make it accessible for both beginners and experienced shadow workers. The journal prompts provide a step-by-step and practical approach to self-discovery and healing. I have already recommended it to my girlfriends and in general I would definitely recommend to anyone embarking on their journey of shadow work! This workbook makes the difficult shadow work so much easier.

Exploring the subconscious mind
This book is amazing for anyone interested in exploring the subconscious mind and shadow work. I listened to the audiobook all the way through once and then revisited it in sections to follow the journal prompts, which worked well for me. The author not only provides a clear and understandable introduction to the subject but also offers practical exercises and guidance that are truly profound.
The most important points for me were the introduction of common scars, which I believe many people can relate to, guidance on initiating a dialogue with your shadow and emotions, understanding how others can serve as mirrors, and learning how to break the intergenerational cycle of trauma and begin the healing process.
