About this listen

Some say it's better to live as a villain, than to die as a hero. But why choose when you can go back in time and try out each option?

Ryan "Quicksave" Romano has begun a new time-loop. His goal? To prevent New Rome's destruction at the hands of the vicious Meta-Gang. To do so, our favorite courier must explore both sides of the law: to become a corporate superhero in one loop, and a scenery-chewing supervillain in the next!

But not is all as it seems. What is this heavy secret that the Dynamis corporation keeps hidden from him? Who is this person who seems to remember events from the previous loop? And most importantly, where did his cashmere suit go?

A continuation.

There isn't a whole lot more to say for this one. Everything from the first book more or less remains true for the second. Still doing the same loop over again, still in new rome, the book still ends as it began(mostly). This time around he (sort of) solves his friendship dilemma and gets a more complete understanding of all the major players in town. The humor keeps up, its still fun, a little tragic, and well put together.

It might not sound like a stunning review, but I don't have anything negative to say so I can't think of much to say period. if you liked the first book your likely going to like this one. That's pretty much the long and short of it.

Outstanding series!

The worldbuilding, characterization, and interwoven storylines across time are excellent. Even tho the story spans multiple timelines and some prior experiences, it's never difficult to follow or understand what's going on. This is one of my new favorite authors!

As for the narrator doing the storytelling, Eric Summerer does a fantastic job, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for other stories voiced by him!

It's a fun audiobook. Let's play style.

The narrator has a nice variety of both male and female voices. It makes following the action much easier.

author hitting their flow

I wasn't sure what to think about the first book in the first chapter but since then I feel like it's been solid and in this book the author has clearly hit a good stride with their scenario.

How can a story about the same few days be so good?

I think I would have to write my own novel to adequately describe how great this series is. Yes it has some language oddities here and there that bug me, but the story, the setting, the characters, the way small changes can really influence outcomes, the way no one and everyone is a bad/good guy. I cannot believe this was written as a web series, it's absurd to think it wasn't written and rewritten and edited. etc
