Publisher's summary

Azure has come face to face with the notorious bandit, James Bower. Completely surrounded, what can he possibly do to survive the encounter with an enemy almost double his level and emerge victorious?

Things won't be easy for Azure as he faces more perils than ever before. Even if he does survive, he still has the Darkness status effect to contend with, sorting out his friends from his foes, and starting his journey to the God of Land. Perhaps he'll end up being the biggest backstabber in the end.

Conflict

Another great book in the series. We do get to see Asher morally conflicted now with killing humans and it severely gets in the way.

Why listen to a guy's crapy life?

I gave 5 stars on previous books but now I'm just tired of a crapy life. I listen to fantasy for just that reason. So I can hear the level up or bad ass loot dropa. This just goes from bad to worse. Come on already give the guy a break Geez!......every chapter is more of him getting the shaft. Or barely escaping with his life no treasure no good drops wtf. I'd have already quit this RPG!

Social Justice Warrior goes on dungeon dive

MC got even more whiney, believe it or not, even mentioned at the end of the book...goes through two levels of the dungeon, without killing necromancer and Orcs, because they can talk...found my self rooting for the MC to die for being such a wanker....And then hookers were thrown in a gain, because folks can't figure out how to enjoy a story unless it has gratuitous sexual overtones

Internal conflict is to much

The MC is really hard to understand, just whining non stop took a lot away from it being more enjoyable.
