Publisher's summary

All Azure wants to do is leave The Realm, but the Bower Boys throw a wrench in his plans.

Mistakes that Azure made when he first joined The Adventurers Guild come back to haunt him. Uden flexes between good and evil once more as he's put in a precarious situation.

Is vengeance worth endangering all of your friends and possibly dying for? Azure answers that question with steel, taking a path he never thought he'd travel. Once he set foot down it, there was no going back.

Decisions were made and someone will pay the ultimate price.

Great evil in him

Another good book and series is good. Uden came through and Asher got some of his revenge. He is now infected with evil though. Kill kill kill.

Whiny MC

Not sure what else to tell you. I listen to a lot of LitRPGs and this is one of the worst. The story has a lot of promise, so much so, that I was hoping the MC would grow up. Unfortunately, that is not the case. He complains about everything, makes the dumbest decisions, never learns from mistakes, either let’s everyone take advantage of him or does the same himself. Criticizes everyone for the same crap he does and plays the victim on pretty much every page. This could have been a great story and I stayed with the series for 5 books. This will be the end for me.

The narration isn’t bad. Not great, but not bad.

I killed a rapist and murderer, what have I done

So this one took a turn, MCs friend gets raped and murdered, so he goes after the group of bandits that killed her, and suddenly has a crises of conscience because one of them wasn't over the age of 20...and whines that the rapist probably wasn't past the point of redemption...regardless of the fact that there was a bounty quest on the group for the last three books for robbing and murdering people on the road...

Regrets all around, just DON’T

I picked up the first 4-5 books of this series intent on giving them a good solid try and ignoring the people calling them half finished or partial novels. Honestly I would have been better off if I’d just heeded their warnings. While the nation is well done and I have no problems with it that is basically all I can say positively about the series. If you don’t mind the idea of paying multiple times the price you generally expect for a “goodish” story then I’d say read them on KU if you can stand to read them without the narrator doing their best to make up for a poor story. Honestly the first 3-5 books should all be ONE book and most likely even beyond that because this author repeats himself endlessly and needs a major editing overhaul there’s so much back and forth that is really pointless and in the second book and afterwards it seems like plot decisions are made on the author’s whim and not necessarily AT ALL in line with the characters own ethos or attitudes! It’s almost like the author say down with a predetermined idea of where he wanted to take the story and then his imagination and characters tried to become more than he was willing to let them be and he just shoved everything back into his little boxes where he thought he wanted them and it all turned into as my mom would say jokingly “One mell of a hess!” My simple opinion having read several of them is easily summed up as ‘don’t bother there are hundreds of other stories by far better authors out there!”
