It’s tahn-fah, not tone-fah.

Other than a few agree, just mispronunciations, the narrator is actually pretty good. The author needs to be more willing to hurt his main character. Otherwise it becomes a Marty stew fantasy.

Very enjoyable and hard to put down

Altogether good story

I do like the story and where it is going. The amount of negativity, the overthinking and doubting and the use of the word hate Keeps one from enjoying the story completely… Hope it gets better in the future. Just get on with the story and stop worrying about the past.

Still enjoyable, for now

I enjoy this series still, but feel like it's easy to make a drinking game of the annoying parts. Take a drink when:

Loch gets angry at Cerie for not telling him something he considers important.

Loch stops listening to Cerie's information because he thinks it's unimportant or complicated.

Loch stops Cerie from giving information that may be important because it'd make his daughters sad.

Loch worries because he's "putting his daughters in danger" and then says how everyone else needs to fight and level.

Loch complains about being in charge, then is suspicious of anyone else who wants to lead.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the story and setting.

Wheres the wife?

How long does it take to bring a family back together. Pretty good book but the author made the MC criminally stupid.

Father of girls stands up against the world 👍

Loved the main family this book hit home and I’m looking forward to him completing that system challenge quest

I liked better than the 1st book

Still don't quite like the MC.

[ I like J. S. Arquin in the Path of Ascension series but not in this series ]

Come on man!

The series has a lot of potential, and the story is moving along pretty good, but if I have to continuously listen to how lock feels about his daughter's being put in a dangerous situation again and again I'll probably bounce. The world has changed move on already before I do.

enjoyable

really slow progress but it does have potential to be a really good series. just needs to pick up it I had like 7 hours left and they finally got into the dungeon. not much progress so there is a story there. the characters are likable majority of them there are some new characters it's better than the first one. not by much. Definitely will get the next one

Solid system apocalypse

Good story I like the dad protecting his daughters but also needing their help. The real stand out is the fighting I really feel like the author has a good picture of the fight and translates it well.

Lock needs a clue by four

OMG. What is wrong with the MC. He is fine with working with people but when it comes to basic gathering it feels like he got dropped on his head too many times. He is fine when it comes to fighting and looking defense, but it feels like "ow me ow my" for everything else from food to cleaning to getting back power after losing it . I like the world that is being built but really want a different MC. Want to like the story but on the fence if I will get the next book.
