Get the Catalyst Books 1-3 Boxset, featuring the first three books in the best-selling epic fantasy series filled with unexpected heroes, dark magic, and nonstop adventure.

Cursed from birth. Forced into slavery. It's time to fight back.

The blood of the Ancients is the most coveted ingredient in all of Damaris. The fabled elixir made from it grants those who drink it life that extends far beyond natural means.

There is no higher honor in the kingdom then being granted the privilege of bidding for it. And the people found with the cursed blood? By law, they are the rightful property of the kingdom.

They are tributes.

As a boy, Ryl was sold by his family when he was discovered to have the coveted blood flowing through his veins. Broken, scared, and confused, he’s confined to an area known as the Stocks until he is ready for harvesting.

Ryl stumbles through a doomed life until the appearance of a mysterious stranger who exposes a buried version of the past that changes everything. That his blood may not be a curse but a blessing.

The fates of all the tributes hang in the balance.

Buy this special edition omnibus to experience a saga with something for every fan of epic fantasy. Suitable for all ages, it's perfect for fans of D. K. Holmberg, Will Wight, and K. F. Breene.

Repetitive - BUT GOOD!!!

Slow start to this series... it drags and drags but then picks up on the action... I am interested to see what book 4 brings to the table....

Unexpected

When I first started this series I didn’t know how to feel about it was very slow to start. But as I listen I found what was throwing me off. This book series is world building, character progressing, and more of a tale then just a simple story. I can’t wait for more lore and in general everything with this series. This series so far is just as good as forgotten realms and dragon lace when they began I hope to see lots of stories shoot out of this series.

The story moves slow

I enjoyed the story, just that it is very slow moving. I ended up getting bored and not getting the next book in the series. Not for those who like action

It's ok.... but a bit predictable.

This is a solid story but not a masterpiece by any means. it does get predictable and the author uses the same descriptions over and over again... especially in book 3. If I have to hear the saying "Make Haste" one more time, I think I will have to rip me ears off. All the fights seem to end with someone having their "Head cut clean from their torso" and the MC stops moving as the "bodies slam to the earth in a thump." Every battle seems to be a replay of the last. everything is repeated and nothing seems new. it's all repeated. (see what I did there.... it's annoying for 36 hours.)

Great premise, transactional execution

I loved the idea of the plot and sunk into books 1-3 for the 30 hours for one credit. The dialogue can be repetitive, predictable, and transactional. The good guys are good, the bad guys are bad. There’s not a lot of twists and turns. But I think the world building is done well enough, and I’m willing to see how I feel about book 4 with another narrator. Travis baldree has done a lot of books I enjoyed just not this one. I feel like everyone needed an English accent.

overall pretty good!

the story was pretty A to B and the use of powers got a abit repetative to have spelled out everytime the main character tapped into his abilities but I liked it so far will be keeping an eye out for book 4.

Interesting fantasy world, what's next.

The hero is always being rescued by others. Predictable style. Still an interesting story.

Good books, worth the credit

Of course anything Travis Baldree reads is going to be good, let's just get that out there lol.
This isn't one of my favorites but it was a good listen, worth the credit, and it kept my attention.
I would listen to the next book in the series if it was available.

Slow start

It’s a slow start of a story so it can feel easy to pause sporadically and not feel like you’re missing anything major but it is extremely well written and as the books progress the MC makes a very logical progression and does not seem as though he disconnects from the story. I’ll be continuing the series for sure!
