About this listen

From the shards of a broken rebellion, a new Executor rises....

After surviving the impossible in a race against time, Magnus Cromwell finally finds some answers. Only, some truths are better off left buried.

Now on the run from the Legatus’s almighty legion with an angel in tow, Magnus has his hands full just staying alive.

It's a good thing Magnus is done being the underdog. Survival isn’t going to be enough when the fate of an entire planet rests on his shoulders. He’s angry and he’s desperate enough to do the unthinkable: locate the rumored Resistance and unite them against the Legatus.

After all, the enemy of his enemy is...a very useful weapon.

Don't miss Book 2 in this kickass LitRPG/GameLit Saga from debut author Vowron Prime.

great read

this story was a great read. I would recoend to have less vulgarity, but other than that it was great.

excellent narrator, and the story improves

Definitely a step up from book one - which I enjoyed. Interesting to see how MC's powers develop, as well as having him not on the run constantly.

Perfect narration too?

Intriguing Continuation, Fewer GameLit Aspects

Executor Rising continues the story of the appropriately named main character MC (Magnus Cromwell) and his allies. There are fewer references to the GameLit system aspects in this one, although skill progression does still occur. MC is starting to become overpowered in ways, but this is somewhat offset by the corruption and loss of control that the parasite giving him his powers is increasingly causing. The world-building and continued character development, especially of supporting characters, add continued depth to the story. Still lookingofrward to more in the series.

If you like OP then this is your series.

The aliens are OP and the MC is OP. So it's hard to figure what's next when another OP power comes into being. I'm not sure if I will continue or not.

Team work sucks!

As soon as he adds other characters to MC's solo operations, we get terrible back and forth banter and slow progression, because everything now needs to be explained between them. Please lose the help and keep the story on MC.

1st book was better

I for sure disliked the sister character ...she didn't singlehandedly ruin the book for me, but to me she added zero value and detracted from the story. Unfortunately, overbearing female sidekicks are a pretty common trope in this genre ...and its one I don't like very much.

Anyways, it wasn't just the sister that took away from the story for me ...there was also a lot less of the immersive fantasy and gameplay elements that made the 1st book enjoyable. I mean, they were there, but they were less prominently featured.

At the same time, the book never claimed to be a progression fantasy where the MC builds from strength to strength. And the overarching story is actually well conceived, even if not to my tastes.

Overall, not my favorite ...but I think others cud enjoy it more than I did, so I'd still recommend it to others

Frustrating

Maybe I should go back and listen to the first book? I don’t remember Magnus being such a one dimensional character… or such a moron. And Nina… what is she to the story, besides an annoying, self-absorbed pest? Her character’s actions are distracting and petulant and I cannot fathom why she is included.

Disappointing. Could not finish. Cannot recommend.
