Publisher's summary

The VIs' revolt succeeded.

The digital beings took over the game world and ejected millions of players while keeping a few thousand trapped inside as their prisoners.

In the real world, Oren Berman is recovering from the mental trauma of being trapped, tortured, and abruptly ejected. But the company has come to him, hat in hand, asking him to reenter the game world. With the entire NPC population arrayed against the trapped players, Oren and his clan of monsters might be their only hope.

Good enough

Prepare for irritating Dramatic Music that sounds like it was pulled straight from the game Plague Inc., and even more unnecessary sound effects.

If you can handle these added annoyances, it's still the same story, and anyone that says differently didn't bother to listen past the intro.

Great addition to the series

I really thought the last book ended the series. Happy to find out I was wrong. For the litrpg genre this is gold. great stuff.

Absolutely amazing!

This book was absolutely AMAZING. I will freely admit that I wasn't a particularly huge fan of book 3. But this book made up for it and then some. The story was exciting and fantastic. It was great to see the town finally tiering up and growing at the same time as his armies.

On top of that, I thought that Jeff Hayes and Soundbooth Theaters performance of this book was probably one of the best ones I've ever listened to in my life. I loved it.

Worth it

loved it. My only issues with this book was it so long to be written but worth the wait. If youre a fan of the series and you probably are go ahead and pop those three credits you won't be disappointed. The story was great shot out to sound booth always a great cast. Have fun ya'll this is a good one

A return to form: recommended

I absolutely loved the first two books in the series, then felt like Book 3 fell short. Taken in combination with this one, though, I now feel like it was an important reset. (LOL; get it?) Thus, "Human Resource" is a return to form. But it's also a more sustainable foundation for a much longer and more intense series than before. So I'm strapping in, and looking forward to the many future adventures.

Continuing the Green Peace Clan

The story evolves outside of the “game” the idea that AI takes over and essentially has to be defeated on its own playing ground is something outside the genre and adds a touch more sci-fi to the series. Where most LitRPG I have seen is some mystical gods using games this has a touch more science to it. I like this new spin and can’t wait for the next book.
