About this listen

Earth was invaded. Earth was conquered. And humanity was summarily subjugated, as 400,000,000 people were culled.

The terrifying part was this only took the Peacekeepers a second. There wasn't even a chance for us to fight back. In the blink of an eye, questions like whether or not we're alone in the universe or at the top of the food chain were answered. We were not. Not by a long shot.

Despite the mass murder, the Peacekeepers promise they're benevolent. They don't want to rule Earth. They don't want to control humanity. They just want us to stop playing around with AI and genetics.

Willing or unwilling, Morgan and the rest of humanity are now members of the Collective. And like every species in the Collective, they have to learn to play the Game.

What do you do when an AI offers you the opportunity to play the greatest tower defense game the universe has ever created? You accept, of course.

Learning the rules and finding a way to survive can come later. Morgan certainly thinks so.

When aliens are attacking your station and giant six-eyed rats are eating your robotic face, you start to have your doubts. Accidentally starting a war doesn't help, either. But what are you going to do? You're the first line of defense—and you've got a job to do.

Need more!

Benjamin Kerei, you both tease and spoil your fans with your fantastic books! They aren't nearly long enough. I imagine forty hours of your imagination put onto pages would be sufficient for one single book. However, you spoil us (your fans) by giving us yet another series to eagerly await sequels for!
Setting aside my complaints for more, it would be a shame not to congratulate Travis Baldree for another fantastic performance! He is actually one of my favorite narrators, so I might be biased.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this audible to any fan of LitRpg.

Great book

Overall I think that this book was a great read. A little slow in the beginning but it definitely picks up.

Wow!

This is an amazing addition to the LitRPG scene! I loved the tower defense aspects of it and the MC was intelligent and likeable! I can't wait for the next in the series!

It was good

Glad to have read it, definitely recommend it. The ending was a bit abrupt for my taste and the game logic was a bit hard to follow. That said, it was a good read that was exciting and fun.

Fantastic book

Wow I really enjoyed this book. The author makes sure to cover a lot of interesting things in a very short period of time. This is a very quick listen, I wish it were longer. I look forward to book two

This was a fun book

I love Ben’s books. Every one of them I have read has been hilarious and enjoyable—pros of this work. Characters are fun, if not immature, and annoying at certain parts. The world-building is a bit rushed, and I want more, so I'm glad there's a second book coming out soon. What can I say? It's a good, fun listen. I recommend and look forward to the next—one of my favorite writers.

Funny, lighthearted and entertaining

This book is very funny, I really enjoy the back and forth between Morgan and T. The story feels new and they don't make you wait to get into it, the author doesn't waste your time and its right into the laughs. Travis Baldree is of course my favorite narrator and can do no wrong.

Another great book!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Somehow the author manages to make a lot happen in a relatively short time without it feeling rushed. A great book and fun listen. I would have obviously preferred it to be about 6-10 hrs longer but still great. I hope he enjoyed writing it as much as I enjoyed listening to it because I really want a sequel haha.
