About this listen

Brutal wars, devious political plots, and portal magic gone wrong . . . in this beloved fantasy-adventure series, skilled mage Alana has survived it all.

A mage's life requires constant work to keep essential spells in place, but Alana doesn't mind the effort. As part of the new government's research and development team, she's called upon to teach three promising students in the art of bardic magic. Meanwhile, she's slowly pushing her own core to its highest level.

But when a royal ball erupts in violence, Alana joins the fight without a second thought. As a trusted advisor to Emperor Durin—and with the fate of the empire at stake—she must bring her fiercest resources to the battle . . . even as she mourns deeply personal losses.

In the last thrilling chapter of Alana's epic story, she'll face her most challenging quests and wield the most powerful mana yet.

The sixth volume of the hit progression-fantasy series—with almost four million views on Royal Road—now available on Audible and wherever ebooks are sold!

This is the little bard that made bread for her villiage

I was practically begging time to slow down as things went on, but I have to accept it needed to end. She did so much for so many, constantly plagued with terrible situations, and she never quit! 😊great end to a great series, the end got me bad.

Pretty good. Ending felt rushed.

Spoilers. Bittersweet ending which I suppose means the story was good if I’m saddened by the end of it. To be fair I’m not sure what more the character could do but it was very sad having everyone around her die as she aged very slowly. It was strange even seeing her husband die because I thought he was hundreds of years old but I may be wrong. It just seemed like he became elderly over the course of like 30 years which seems too fast. With the amount of time skips it wouldn’t have been an issue to just push that forward a bit. That’s another thing. I was getting constant whiplash from the time skips. The first one was one year and I was like okay that’s reasonable. Not every minute of someone’s life is interesting. But then the next chapter is 5 years later and then 10 years later after that. You spend a good chunk there and then the book ends with decades passing. I’m thinking the author was just sick of telling the story of Alana as even a lot of this book isn’t from her perspective. I could see there being a sequel series but I’m not sure I’d get into it. I know there’s a prequel series but I haven’t given it a try yet. I just finished this so I’m heavy into the post series depression. Maybe my thoughts will change over time but basically I think the author didn’t want to write Alana’s story anymore so they sprinted all the way to her death.

a bit short but I loved it

Im glad we got to see the seeming end of her story. a bit sad that she wasn't able to help Jason in the end. it was bittersweet at the end. loved this book. would have liked to see her full power near the end of her life but maybe in some other books

what a beautiful end

I am sad for the times kips but I understand that if not for them 30 books could have been made and thus is a far more dignified end to the series. I only wish all books had such a magnificent conclusion. Thank you for the many hours of joy.

From beginning to end

To hear her grow and age and the life of this beautiful character the adventure gave me smile and ending a tear.

A satisfying Conclusion

A lot of authors in this genre extend out the series until it morphs into something completely different, squeezing out every last drop they can. melody of mana is a series I would wish was longer but the author did a fantastic job of wrapping up the series with a heartfelt conclusion, leaving little to want. fare thee well Alana.

All The Feels...

It's hard to end a series like this in a satisfying way, but I believe they pulled it off. I rarely cry when listening to a series, but this book almost had me tearing up at a few points.

you rushed thing. there are alot of points you glossed over.

in my opinion there are far to many points after you gave her slowed aging that you glossed over. the order she founded, how powerful she got, why she couldn't bestow slowed aging on others, that new other worlder, the centuries of progress and such in between, and more. overall the story was fantastic among my favorites but you have made 20 hour books before so I can't figure out why this one needed to be rushed through so quickly or why you wanted it ended. frankly the story held so much potential and I idk of you wanted that potential to be filled by another character or not but there is alot you alluded to that needed to be explored. I hope that we somehow see her again in your other books like elevation of mana because not only do I want answers but I want her to find her answers because as a character she's earned that much just for it to be all over. sorry for this lengthy opinion but that ending where everything just ended out of nowhere really made me sad and empty and very interested in the questions posed like the dragons and why their all there.
