About this listen

She thought she was running away from her past, not catching up with it.

Rosemary Bell just wants to live a quiet, happy life and raise her daughter as far away from her toxic ex-husband as she can get. But when they move into a decrepit cottage in the woods of Mosswood, Georgia, Rosie realizes her life will never be simple.

A gang of meddling neighborhood do-gooders want to run her out of town. The vicious laundromat machines keep eating her spare change. Not to mention, her buff Irish stalker who insists that he's a Witch King and that it's her royal destiny to be his Queen.

And to top it all off, strange things keep happening around Rosie when she least expects it....

She could deal with it all, but her ex won't rest until he tracks her down. When her ability to protect her daughter is threatened, Rosie shows them all that nobody messes with the new witch on the block.

Terrible Narrator

I couldn't get past the terrible narrator. Her depiction of small town southern women is ridiculous. It's so bad, I can't even tell you what the book was about. Did not finish the book.

A fun story

The author gives us an enchanting story of a new witch coming into her powers when she never even knew she was a witch.

New Witch On The Block.. It had potential

I really was looking forward to this book. It had all the ingredients for a perfect cake.. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me.. I didn't know if it was an MC romance or paranormal one. There were unnecessary interactions that I didnt enjoy. Overall, it was just okay.

Great story line.

I think it would sound better if a male narrated the male characters of the book.

Mediocre

Though I feel the story is all over the place, the first half was cute at best. I did not feel as though the story had a cohesive flow.

Male voice was horrible.

The story is cute and reading it is great. Listening is pretty good too. Until you get to the male voice. He is supposed to have an Irish accent and instead it sounds like a 11 year old doing bad impressions of an accent.

Sweet story

The story is somewhat predictable but a sweet one. It is always nice to see a woman escape from a bad relationship.

terrible accident

The accent for Rosie is atrocious. The guys and everybody else seem to be okay. But nobody from Alabama sounds like that she really struggled with a southern accent.

I like the concept of the story, but everything moved at lightning speed and everything was accepted quickly. she's like okay I guess I'm a witch. which okay I would probably do too but that's beside the point lol. it just was kind of weird the way it ran but I'm still going to listen to the other books. fingers crossed it gets better.

Great new witch cozy!

I liked the story of Rosey. I enjoyed that there wasn’t a lot of unnecessary drama. The story unfolded at just the right rate.
