About this listen

They thought the Enemy was the worst of their foes. They were wrong.

It was supposed to end with the saving of Fallen Reach, but that was only the beginning. In an apocalyptic battle, a nightmarish monster nearly took everything from one of Hiral's closest friends, and only a great sacrifice saved her life and soul.

As the party reels from the near-loss, one thing becomes clear: they must learn more. Ancient secrets have revealed that the truth they thought they knew was twisted, and they can only save their reality by uncovering the rest of what was hidden.

The Enemy works against them. The Fallen work against them.

But are they the only factions they must worry about, or do dangers lie closer?

The truth might be hidden in the Progenitors’ secrets, and those revelations could shatter everything that Hiral knows about his world.

… and about himself.

Better than expected

Not going to lie, with the way the fourth book headed i was worried the story was going to go in a boring direction with nothing but hidden plots governing the stories direction. I was pleased to be wrong and it still follows the overall direction of them just trying to get stronger while figuring out what to do about the enemy. Also I personally enjoyed the many MOTF references.

Just answer the question

“I tried to tell you” the author is a liar and just likes to tease questions and never answer anything. I am not amused.

I really tried

honestly I love this series but the mum thing was a complete turn off I just had to stop after his confrontation.. dude was petty and a complete child about the situation that it was hard for me to even cheer for him.. I mean he could have talked it out with his mom after he saved the islands but he was hiding the whole time?? the more I read the more the mom becomes the big bad villian in the whole story and they even made the fallen look good.. it was cringe even when his gf calls his mom a betch and how everybody is protecting him and his feelings like his not OP SMH. like I said I love the series but you lost the plot with how they handled the mom situation. you did make it seem like there was a good reason why it happened and honestly was hoping for a good reconciliation between the two at least an explanation but even the sisters and dad did nothing but show no love for her even when she showed up at the bonders SMH that little speech he gave his mom made it seem like he had it bad his whole life with mom issues and bullies while Yan was being physically abused by a fd up dad to the point he needed healing everytime he went hunting with his group but his the happy guy and never making it the point of his life. it's really hard for me not to look at the so called op mc the same way and I was loving the HP Lovecraft theme of everything until that DAMN SPEECH to his mom. I'm going back to read DEFIANCE OF THE FALL at least Zachs mom issues make sense
