It's not too late to start a home exercise regiment even at my age 76!

I appreciate the step by step instructions with exercise bands. That is more convenient than traveling to health clubs. I'm motivated and have already started!

Easy to Understand!

The information on how exercise helps us as we age was clear and concise. A lot of good information was presented. I really liked the exercises and how they are broken up from seated exercises to ones for more experienced individuals . I have recommended this book to friends already.

If you're not 60 yet, don't wait until you are!

Everyone over 30 knows that aging is hard. If you're not experiencing it for yourself, you certainly know those who are suffering from conditions that they "didn't used to have." This book explains how some of those things come to be, and what to do about them. I love the reminder that walking, if done sufficiently, can reverse a condition. So, eat your veggies, get your exercise, and listen to this book! Better yet, read it while you listen to it, so it will sink in more. 😃

Amazing. Every subject is well explained, I highly recommended!!

Yesss. I love this book, because it is very little information out here for seniors regarding exercise and there are a lot of myths. The author does well debunking all those myths and the best thing is that is driven by a person who is knowledgeable in the area.
I love it already!!!

What to look forward to…I think!

I enjoyed learning about what to expect in the next few decades…I think. Very good scientific information about what happens to our bodies naturally, And what we can do to impact the process. Yikes! I need to get serious about strength training! Thanks Gerald Coleman!

Overall importance of exercising

I enjoyed this audiobook immensely as it emphasized the overall importance of exercising, and gave tips on getting started and provided a step-by-step guide to reducing barriers regarding getting fit. The author set the tone at the outset for people to think about setting goals for working out. I learned a lot about the different cells and organs and the reasons they get damaged, as well as myths about activity and aging. Tips were also given about foods you should eat, as well as a guideline of how to do various exercises. Frankly, it is a good audio book that everyone can benefit from, in fact, once I started listening to the audiobook, it was hard to stop listening. As a result of both listening to the audiobook, as well as reading the actual book, it has also motivated me to consistently exercise, as it talked about so many benefits in doing so. The great thing about reading the book is it has a large font that you can read without glasses. I highly recommend this book and will be sharing it with patients I work with. Well done, Mr. Gerald Coleman!!

Very Helpful.

The exercises in this book are very effective and yet not overwhelming for me, at sixty two. I feel invigorated after going through the exercises. Invigorated but not worn out. I can feel the results and it makes me feel so much better about myself.

Strength training

It took me a while but I finally got through it and found it worth my time and patience. The narration is simple, easy to understand and in graphic way makes what could be a task comfortable and convenient while still working. At my age and work rate, the book is a valuable resource. It offers a very useful guide in navigating how to keep fit for purpose. I recommend it to everyone with the motivation not only to listen but to follow through what I will always call Gerald Coleman’s ‘manual of life’.
