Publisher's summary

Magnus Cromwell kills for a living.

He’s organized, professional, efficient. Like a machine. But when his family’s life is on the line, that’s something else. That calls for the kind of warm-blooded vengeance that scorches Earth and summons tungsten rods from space, leaving a whole lot of melted flesh and no one to tell the tale.

It should've been a blue milk run. As by-the-book as it gets. With his sister Nina out safe and the opposition decimated by hypersonic gunfire, Magnus wonders where they got the guts to even try. Then something hits him. Lays him out cold, and leaves him waking up to a fantasyland with nothing but his armor and a half-written note to guide him.

It's a strange place where even stranger predators eye him for their next meal. Where his life’s on a timer, and where the darkest horrors haunt his dreams, painting visions of death.

There's no right day to mess with Magnus Cromwell. But the universe sure managed to pick the absolute worst one.

Experience the start of a kickass gameLit/LitRPG saga from debut author Vowron Prime.

About the series: Embark on a jam-packed action adventure with an overpowered protagonist that seamlessly merges epic battles with mystery, survival, and elements of Lovecraftian horror. Dragons, magic, and medieval fantasy meet cyberpunk technology in this roller-coaster of a ride that starts fast and never lets up. Experience a unique take on a light LitRPG system whose true, gory nature is uncovered bit by bit as Magnus progresses through his epic journey in a land of horrors. You won't want to put the book down!

I was not sure at first

so I got this novel as an arc and Ill be giving an honest review in exchange. The start of the novel was fire...I thought it was going to be a future earth type novel but boom....turned to magic. I was still not thrown off but the MC who is also called MC (brilliant!!) struck me a good guy type character but then, he did some stuff that didnt really sit well with me. Dont get me wrong I love both good and evil MCs I just dont like when they act out of character for the side they appear to be in. When I used to play WOW I would never randomely kill NPCs and totally beefed players that did. Ive actually killed a few players that did that when caught them just because it just feels wrong. He is one of the players Id kill. But he kind of has the opportunity to redeem himself from this wrong path he's taken and he did do it sorta unknowingly.
conclusion I will be patiently wating for the next book in the series as it sounds like it would be an interesting journey. Narration was good as always by Pavi Proczko!! AETHON books has a good library...thanks guys

Military, Cartels and VR, oh my

The world has gone umm downhill. Cartels have control of a lot of areas. Magnus Cromwell, yes the main character (or MC) has initials MC is a private contractor. He does military ops, but this one is personal. One of the cartels has his sister who was on a diplomatic mission. She is his last living relative. The cartels have a reputation for testing drugs on a person and putting them in a VR tank. After a month or so in the tank, the disassociation side effects start to show. He sets up the op, goes in and does clean-up. He gets her out of the VR tank and into his escape suit/armor. She takes off. He radios the team that there are about another 180 tanks there. His escape will not be as easy. He is in lighter armor and has to hike out.

He runs into some resistance. As he is exiting the camp, he is hit with a bright light and he is out. He wonders if it was a flash bang or what happened. He awakes in a strange place. How had the cartel gotten him? How did they transport him to another location with more VR tanks? Maybe if he plays along he can get out at an access point. He has his armor but no weapons. There is a note telling him if he wants answers to get to the capital. It must be a quest based game.

A predator is hunting him and there is more in jungle. He needs to get a handle where he is and what he can do while heading to the capital. Hopefully then he can take his vengeance on the cartel.

Great book with some interesting twists, I would definitely recommend and looking forward to the next one.

Viscerally real

Loved this title. The descriptions of the world, both MCs original and the one he ended up in/on were so real and visceral. His plight was relatable. He loved his sister.

Great writing. Great story.

Good Story, Interesting System

Terra Nova is a very different sci-fi LitRPG. The main character is not overpowered, actually goes by MC since those are his initials (Magnus Cromwell) and, for reasons that are understandable at first, is not even aware that they are in the real world rather than virtual reality. As such, there are a number of unnecessarily violent and distasteful decisions that they make along the way and must begin to reconcile himself with once the truth becomes apparent. The advancement system is very odd and feeds into MC's choices of action. The narrator does an excellent job portraying the characters and especially MC's inner thoughts, struggles and turmoil. Looking forward to seeing where the series goes.

Super OP!

This book was really well done. Very interesting set up. Everyone that looks for an MC that isn't an idiot needs to come check this one out. Lots and lots of action. The world building slowly came together but so focused on the action and what was going on with the MC, that it was acceptable. In the end, all of it came together. Most questions were answered and left way open for a sequel.

Entertaining and Unique

While billed as a litRPG genre book it really is not (other than that, I won't mention what it is to avoid spoiler implications.) There is magic and leveling up for populace but how that is done is not defined. Instead, our MC, who goes by the name, "MC"), also advances but by a unique, non-magical, non-RPG means. The story has lots to like. Some battle Mechs, cybernetic beasts, human genetic twisting, some dragons, lime-jello people and even an angel, interesting and thrilling battle encounters...and more.

There are some areas to be aware of, however. There is adult language used though out, almost entirely by the MC and some wholesale slaughter of non-combatants. Also, while the MC is seemingly a good guy, it's only marginally so since he tends to be his own judge/jury/executioner even before being whisked-away.

Still, it's a fun novel and I plan to get the next book in the series.

Good story, shitty pacing

Purchase for the story but know that the pacing feels really off in the beginning. I had to double back because I thought I had missed some important details several times.

Better than average

With a name like Vowron Prime, I was expecting either something incredible or the worst thing ever. I am happy to report: it was fabulous. I enjoyed reading about Magnus (MC) and can’t wait for the next in series.
