just what I needed at the time that I needed it

while struggling to overcome the aftermath of emotional trauma myself, I stumbled upon this book and it has been a monumental help for me. I like how it isn't a book that just retells warm bubbly stories of other people to which the narrator then says this can be you too, I love that the author actually gives a specific blueprint of exercises and self-help techniques that anybody can actually employ to their specific situation. you rarely see books like these give an actual format towards specific recovery, I truly appreciated listening to this and highly recommend

Relevant and useful

I thought the performer was great. The subject matter was not only relevant and relatable, but I appreciate the take-aways - the exercises that have helped me to gain better perspective of different situations. These things can be done over and over. Really a great book.

That's write! This gem of a listen lures you in for insight you maybe expected. I found the narrator smooth his delivery and breaks spot on.

Extremely practical

This book is extremely practically outlined. It’s very simply put but for someone who doesn’t know how introspect and feel their feelings it could be a little confusing. I love how this book is more of a “how to” guide with steps to follow.

Good info and good exercises

I listened while driving I would like to listen again while sitting pen in hand and paper ready. It’s easy to see how the exercise exercises could help free the mind.

ineffectual, simple minded advice

This book did nothing for me. No new strategies, techniques or ideas. The premise is so frustratingly simple minded: that there are zero negative consequences to letting go. If that's the case you don't need a book to help you. But what if you're not sure if the net will be positive or negative? No help there.

Repeated info as other written no new reference

Disliked only general info. Not different or helpful. No key points without repeated info as others. No resolution to learn after fact only for people who are at the start, however only general facts nothing different from others written.
