About this listen

Learn the tools to shed your mask of extroversion, develop your own magnetism, and reveal the true you.

One third to one half of Americans are introverts in a culture that celebrates - even enforces - an ideal of extroversion and a cult of personality. Political leaders are charismatic, celebrities bask in the spotlight, and authority figures are assertive. It is no surprise that a quiet revolution has begun to emerge among the invisible half of the population, asserting that they are just as powerful in their own unique ways.

The Irresistible Introvert embodies the spirit of this revival and breaks down the myth that charisma is reserved for extroverts only. This mini manifesto shows introverts how to master the art of quiet magnetism in a noisy world - no gregariousness required! Within this audio, you'll discover how to shed the mask of extroversion and reveal a more compelling (and authentic) you. You'll also learn how to:

  • Master the inner game of intrigue
  • Manage your energy for optimal engagement
  • Create an emotional ecosystem for charisma
  • Establish introverted intimacy
  • Cultivate communication skills for quiet types

As a professional charismatic introvert, author Michaela Chung demonstrates that you no longer have to forcefully push yourself outward into the world against your nature but can rather magnetize people inward toward the true you. In the process you'll learn to embrace your "innie life" and discover potential you never knew you had.

The most helpful book about introversion

I loved this book so much! The first few chapters made me feel instantly connected to the author and fully understood for the first time in my life probably. It feels like talking to a best friend I wish I had. The following chapters are filled with helpful strategies and stories. The narrator is amazing too. I listened to Quiet by Susan Cain, that a lot of people mention and while I found it very informative, it's a l different kind of book - very scientific, not too practical.

Can’t believe this was free

I stumbled on this in the included section of Audible plus. This is the second book that I’ve read from that section that I can’t believe is included. This is a great book for introverts to feel validated and get some advice, but it’s also a great book for Extroverts to understand introverts. Both should read it. Best book I’ve found for doing both.

this book made me feel more accepted and less alon

being an introvert in an extroverted environment is nearly impossible. I have to deflect several attacks on my little bubble every day!

Bravo!!

Bravo Michaela!! Your entire book, cover to cover, fully encapsulates the true introvert experience. There are do many other books out there that generalixe or marginalize introversion, but you paint a realistic picture of what goes on in our minds. This is the ONLY book I've read on introversion that I agree with 100%! Again, bravo! And thank you for taking the time and energy to show the world who we truly are.

Honest Review

The book felt condescending and at times the narrator was reading it to a child, or at least thats how they made it sound by the inflection in their voice.

Introverts are unappreciated

I preferred Susan Cain's book "Quiet" on the benefits of being an introvert. There are some aha moments. Introverts are so used to the world catering to extroverts that we think extraversion is the normal mode of behavior. Extroverts talk as they think - they appear dynamic, acting, and moving. While introverts are formulating their thoughts and choosing their words, they are viewed as quiet, unengaged, and uninterested. Often introverts are made to feel guilty for not joining in, contributing more, and speaking up. The world doesn't appreciate the reflection, contemplation, thinking, and planning we do because the world doesn't see the mental activities (versus the physical activities of extroverts).
