What if you could lose weight without cutting out foods that you love? That was the dream of Kayla Cox, who had struggled with her weight throughout her life. At age 30, she weighed 222 pounds and had tried every diet, sometimes with initial success, but she could never keep it off. Frustrated and feeling hopeless, she discovered intermittent fasting. In the process of losing 80 pounds, she learned she had been making weight loss too complicated. With intermittent fasting, there was no need to count calories, cut carbs, or do high-intensity workouts.

Through the process of learning how to practice intermittent fasting in this laid-back and sustainable way, she was able to get to her goal weight and keep it off for five years and counting. In this book, she shares her method, with tips and tricks that worked for her.

Kayla also shares her weight-loss journey on her YouTube channel, Six Miles to Supper, which to date has more than 57,000 subscribers.

great book

This was great! I had just listened to "Delay Don't Deny" and was pretty turned off by it. Although this book lacked some of the science that the other book had, it was much easier to listen to and much more inspiring.

Very practical!

This book's laid back approach makes intermittent fasting seem so much more doable than others. Kayla gives practical advice based on her own experiences. I'm very encouraged to not give up now.

No nonsense approach

I really enjoyed this audiobook and the writer’s style. The chapters are well organized and thoughtfully illustrated by the author’s own experiences with intermittent fasting. The narration was great. Would highly recommend this audiobook.

Great Book

Love Kayla’s laid back approach to intermittent fasting. I have read many books on fasting and I love that she has made it her own plan and not gotten sucked in the deep hole with all the conflicting information that is out there. It’s definitely something doable for everyone.

Practical Advice for Your Weight Loss Journey

This book has some of the best practical advice for dealing with the realities of weight loss. I've read Jason Fung's books and they are great for how things work and understanding the science behind why intermittent fasting works. This book, however, provides insight into the journey and how to make your own LIVABLE plan, and stick to it. It gives mindset advice. I found it very helpful to treat the weight loss process as an experiment to find out what works and what doesn't for ME. I highly recommend this book. I liked it so well, I got her other book about obstacles. I've also been to her blog, "Six Miles to Supper," and downloaded many of the free resources there.

Relatable

Kayla brings a different perspective to intermittent fasting- make it as easy as possible. She also made this approach of intermittent fasting her own.. and that’s one thing I learned from her- make whatever plan you choose work for you. If I had any criticisms it would be that she read the book a bit too fast for my preference. Listen to her on YouTube- six miles to supper- if you are on the fence about getting the book.

The Best Intermittent Fasting Book EVER!!!

EXCELLENT book! I have been intermittent fasting since November 2021 and listening to this book has brought about a whole new meaning to intermittent fasting- in a wonderful way. Thank you Kayla❤

The best book on Intermittent Fasting

This is the best book on IF, and OMD…. Finally a book I can relate to without all the boring, professional wording. Karla made me feel like I can do this too and she has inspired me. I am so grateful and thankful to her for writing this book.
