Great book with great examples

This is the best book ever. This book made me more confident in my decision. Since I am newly in a poly relationship, I was still on the fence. Every other open relationship book made poly/ open relationships out to be the only right decision, somewhat biased, or way too defensive. This book gave many wonderful examples of possible breakups. It was eye opening, a great new perspective, and felt like it was telling the truth. It validated my feelings of being wondering if my poly relationship was right And now that my feelings were validated, it gave me more confidence in being my self and continue my poly relationship.

Recommended to the poly curious and those with first experiences

Lots of valuable wisdom and stories, not only about break ups but polyamory and healthy relationships in general

This is a good book for anyone interested in polyamory. Most advanced book I've heard.

Fantastic book to have in your poly tool kit

This is a must read for every poly person even if you're not going through a break up right now. It gives a lot of food for thought and useful skill. Leanne Yau's voice is calming and easy to listen to all while making tough subjects easy to engage with.

Great content

Great advice and narrative examples, but would recommend more for coupled people than solo-poly people.

Not what I was looking for

No where in this book does it offer advice. It’s just short summaries of other people’s reasons why they broke up or had issues in their relationships.

Do not read if you are new to polyamory

While there are some useful insights in this book, the terminology and personal opinions of the author can be very damaging. As a polyamorous person of 12 years and community educator I really wanted this book to be a good resource. I cannot recommended it to anyone new to polyamory. The terminology the author uses is very different from most of polyamory culture and this would give a horrible introduction to newer people.

Author vilifies Monogamous relationships

The author uses this book to glorify Polyamoury while vilifying Monogamous relationships. It's fairly blatant and irresponsible. This book is upsetting to read or listening to if you're the monogamous partner who is trying to survive a polybomb.

Good for drama but not advice

If you’re looking to listen to random stories in a fun entertaining way - this book delivers. It does not however give any good advice on Polyamory or breakups.
