Reassuring and Informational--Good Pace
Where does The Spectrum rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The performance and the substance of this book held my interest. I listened to this book after meeting with a newly minted cardiologist who did not want to talk about diet and exercise because all that he knew about was medicine and surgery--all that was not necessary by the way. Dr. Ornish provided the guidance and affirmation that I wanted for far less than I paid that cardiologist.
What other book might you compare The Spectrum to and why?
Grain Brain This book belongs to the same genre that seeks to provide usable information regarding how we can change our health by changing what we eat. The changes can be profound and seriously life-changing. The performance is at a good pace but not too fast.

Pleasant to Listen to and Informative
This program was very interesting and the author has a very easy voice to listen to. I learned a lot about health but went ahead to purchase the book for more details about the program.

Dr. Ornish clearly presents health enhancing knowlege with supporting proof so that medical and non medical listeners can easily understand.

Needs accompanying print material!
What did you like best about The Spectrum? What did you like least?
This is a good book. Inspires change in eating for a better life. However, there is a lot of information presented that will need to be referenced nearly daily for at least a month if I am to effect the changes to my diet. it is unreasonable to expect the listener to write down everything presented. The Audiobook should be accompanied by at least a chart of the "Spectrum". Even better, it should include a basic graphic of the spectrum as well as a spreadsheet of where all the foods fall.
What other book might you compare The Spectrum to and why?

good but the book must be superb!!
This audio is good, you get a good sense of what the spectrum is about...but.. there are things that just get listed up and it´s difficult getting it all.. and with the (paper)book comes a dvd and it is (have i read) charts and things i miss. Love hearing Dr Ornish talk about this.
But I will buy the book.

Very enlightening!
I'm glad I listened to it! I wish he was my doctor! I'm so glad he still helps me and so many others! I hope more doctors and health practitioners will be trained by him. America needs the help!
