About this listen

Mark Victor was a soldier left broken after the Harmony War ended.

What can a broken ex-trooper really do? What are they good for if they've gone through the EMF and been tossed out the other side? If you were to ask Mark...Maybe, doing what the enemy couldn't and following his brothers and sisters.

Mark wakes up to a nightmare, to an unfamiliar place with unknown faces.

A planet under attack, an enemy he's never seen before. He just wants to escape, but when he sees others in danger, he realizes that a trooper stands for something; they stand to protect their own. No matter the cost.

Left me in awe

this series truly has left me in awe. I'm a fan of the halo novels and I compare it to that but on steroids. It's the best I've heard so far.

Original and entertaining

Loved the story line and the characters. Would recommend this to anyone who likes sci-fi, nanites, aliens, as keywords to your searches.

Use of antimatter

It’s antimatter and they are using it for bullets. I would understand this if it was in space but not on the ground. lol

Just Ok

Nothing great about this story or the narrator but an OK listen even if most of it is silly.

Feels like it's by a completely different author

The Harmony Wars series was imperfect -- some editing errors, sometimes over the top, and the ending was jarring. However, it was a fun romp that was competently written. I suspect anybody who enjoys military sci-fi would enjoy Harmony Wars.

By comparison, this book felt like teenage fan fiction. If that's your thing, then have at it. Otherwise...

Poorly edited book Great overal story.

I love the overal story but every book I read so far of the author seems to not been edited or they just published the rough draft. The narrator was ok but had a problem changing voices for each character and didn't even try to change the voices for the females. Also, the narrator's pronunciation of "centurion" and some other words was not what you normally hear from historical books. I know this seems like simple details but they distracted me from the story at least once every chapter. I really like the story and the character development though.

From Harmony War and risk of death..to a God

Harmony Wars series was great, action packed and characters you can possibly relate to. In The Tenth Awakens, Mark goes from a phenomenal warrior and mortal to the smartest, strongest human in the universe. Yes you read that right, Mark becomes the most powerful and intelligent human being in the universe..until others join him in this change. I couldn't get into it when the main character could instantly overcome any obstacle in a split second, unrelatable so therefore hard to invest into.
I did like how Chatfield began answering questions left over from the end of HWar. As per his usual, the action was really well written too.
